Had an awesome experience with Mandrake Charters yesterday . Started out with non-stop action on Mahi a few miles out and after loading the box headed out 10-12 miles for White Marlin. After a couple hrs of fish just having a look at our teaser spread we found the feeding birds and had Two double hook ups in a row! First we booked with Bruno but he sent another captin and crew. The fish we’re not bitting and that happens. I’ve been on a lot of fishing trips. But the crew didn’t bother changing on thing on an 8 hour trip. The same lures, same speed, the same spot. We were marking fish and lots of bait fish in the area. I was unimpressed with there ability to adapt or try for a different species. We asked multiple times and they were uninterested. I would not recommend them.

I showed up, knowing that I was about a month early to catch any tuna. My goal was to learn about the fishery and how the locals have learned to catch these giant tuna over the last seven years.
