Early Out Fishing wishes you a warm welcome to Galveston, Texas. Have a lovely day exploring the area's inshore and nearshore waters and chasing many different species. Captain Christopher McAfee will guide you to the best fishing spots and make sure you have an enjoyable and productive trip.

Captain Christopher's boat is a 2003 31'Cobia that had a major upgrade in 2020. Apart from Garmin navigation and a fishfinder, the boat has a full private head, live bait well, 2 large fish-boxes to keep your catch fresh and cold as well as plenty of shade with its large T-Top. The Cobia is also equipped with outriggers and powered by twin 225 Yamaha engines to get you fishing quickly. With a full walk-around deck, the boat provides plenty of room for fishing. The captain always has 3 rules on the boat – be safe, have fun, and catch fish!

The species you can target include Blacktip and Bonnethead Shark, Sheepshead, Flounder, Redfish, Black Drum, and Spotted Seatrout. The techniques you can expect to use are light tackle, heavy tackle, and bottom fishing. If you decide to keep the fish you catch, Captain Christopher can clean and fillet it for you at no extra charge.

All the fishing rods, reels, tackle, as well as live bait will be waiting for you on board. Just make sure to bring your fishing licenses, snacks, and drinks and you will be ready for the adventure.

Great Father-Son trip!
1/2 day Trip – Bay/Jetty (AM) on August 23, 20263 adults3 children

Great trip with a 5-year-old and two 7-year-olds. These guys were awesome. We were out on the water right at 7:00 AM, and they had us on fish the entire time. They were incredibly helpful and patient with the kids, and most importantly, they had great attitudes. You could tell they genuinely love being out on the water and doing what they do. The captain even offered to cut the shark jaw out for the kids to bleach. I would absolutely recommend this charter, and we will definitely book with them again. This might honestly be the first review I’ve written all year about anything, but I thought these guys deserved it!

Fun Family Fishing
1/2 Day Trip – Bay/Jetty (PM) on July 24, 20265 adults1 child

We has a great afternoon fishing with Captain Chris and Brendon. I took four of my grandsons, and my son-in-law, and everyone caught fish and had lots of fun. Hooked quite a few small ones but did finish with six keepers. Captain Chris did his best later in the afternoon to track down some big ones for us but no luck. Still, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Captain Chris and Brendon were professional but also very friendly and fun to fish with. They handled everything quickly and made sure everyone was taken care of and having a good time. My son-in-law has been out with many charters and said this was the Best. Thank You Captain Chris and Brendon for a great experience. We plan to book with them again the next time we are in Galveston.

A great day on the Bay!
1/2 day Trip – Bay/Jetty (AM) on October 5, 20253 adults

I recently had an incredible day of fishing with Chris and John that was nothing short of memorable! From start to finish, both of them displayed exceptional consideration, especially when I unfortunately got a bit sea sick. They made sure to check on me frequently, adjusting our plans with kindness and understanding to ensure I was comfortable throughout the trip. Despite the rough patches, our fishing experience ended up being quite successful! We managed to hook some big redfish, which certainly made the day worthwhile. Chris and John are not only skilled fishermen but also great companions, making the entire experience enjoyable with their friendly banter and expert tips. I could not recommend these guys more. If you’re looking for a fantastic day out on the water, with skilled and considerate guides, Chris and John are definitely the way to go! Looking forward to our next adventure together.
