Join Captain Jeff Gibson and Leisure Life Charters for a unique fishing experience out of St. Petersburg, FL. Having fished everywhere from Costa Rica to the Bahamas, Jeff knows all there is to know about catching a variety of local fish species. Whether you’re a beginner or expert, he’ll make sure the trip is tailored to your particular needs.
You’ll be fishing aboard a 2017 25ft Sea Hunt with a Yamaha 300. Along with all the necessary navigation and safety gear, it’s also equipped with a wireless trolling motor for when you need to be careful about spooking fish. There’s plenty of room aboard for up to 4 people, so you can always bring the rest of the family along for the ride. There is also a t-top for shade.
Captain Jeff has more than 20 years of experience fishing the Tampa Bay waters, so he’ll know where to take you for the best results. Some of the species you can find around here include Redfish, Tarpon, Seatrout, Snook, Sheepshead, Sharks, and many more besides.
You’ll be using top of the line equipment, such as Shimano, Daiwa, and Penn reels, as well as Fin-Nor, Allstar, and Redbone rods. When you’re all done, the Captain will clean the catch for your convenience. All you need to do is bring a pair of sunglasses, sunscreen, along with drinks and snacks if you’re so inclined. The fish are biting year-round, so come on down and have a blast!

Our family’s first Florida fishing experience and we are so glad that we chose Jeff. He was incredidbly calm and patient with the kids as they got to grips with fishing with live baits. His extensive local knowledge made us feel we were in safe hands from the offset. Jeff moved us on multiple occassions, to try and get us on the fish - his tactics paid off and we caught multiple species throughout the day, including: Snook, Redfish, Snapper, Sea Trout and Sheeps Head. Highly recommended.

Captain Jeff was great! We cane in for a QB camp and scheduled this for our last day. Never went salt water fishing before and Captain Jeff was great! Communication was great, took us to different spots so we had a great fishing experience, shared some grrat stories, was awesome with our 6 and 10 year old boys and he came preppared with everything we needed to have a great day on the water. Boys are already excited to come back and do it all again with Captain Jeff! Highly reccomend him based on his knowledge of thr area, the fish, his experience, his patience with kiddos and overall love of sport.

We booked a 3-hour (730-1030am) in shore fishing excursion for Monday, April 27, 2026. Captain Jeff shared information about the differences between freshwater/salt water fishing, described the topography and the many different species of fish that could potentially be caught. We started off using shrimp as bait and caught: spotted sea trout lady fish pin fish grunts sand perch We kept the lady fish and used it as cut bait and then caught red fish. Moving around to different spots and switching up the bait made a positive difference! It was a great day of fun conversation and fishing. Captain Jeff has been guiding for over 19+ and is very passionate about it and willing to share his knowledge. He is patient with a great sense of humor. We would definitely guide with Captain Jeff again!

I booked this charter as cheerleader role for my fiances birthday with Captain Jeff. Through quick chat he learned I really hadn't fished in my life let alone catch anything ever. He took on the challenge with ease. Not only did we catch SOO many fish EACH in such short time, we learned alot, laughed ALOT, and most importantly had an amazing time being present on the water as we always love doing. I wish I knew how to say this in angler vocabulary but Captain Jeff knocked it outta the park!! Thank You and we WILL see you again!!

Jeff is great and his boat is top notch! I took my 8 and 12 year old sons for a quick 2 hour with Jeff and it was a blast! The inshore fishing is a great choice with kids because you're fishing within ten minutes of leaving the dock. Jeff took us to several different spots within a short boat drive and we were catching fish at each location. We will definitely be back!

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 3 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.

When the captain confirms your trip, FishingBooker charges your credit card a 30% deposit to guarantee your reservation.
The remaining balance is to be paid directly to the charter operator on or prior to your trip date in one of the following payment methods:
