Captain Jake Nickol's Fishing Charters 

My husband and I had an amazing experience with Jake on our fishing adventure while staying in Treasure Island! From start to finish, he showcased his knowledge of the area, making the trip not only fun but also informative. Jake was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome. We had a fantastic time and were thrilled to catch five different species of fish! The directions to the dock were straightforward, which made it easy to find our way. Communication with Jake was seamless, ensuring everything went smoothly. If we find ourselves back in Treasure Island, we won’t hesitate to book another charter with Jake. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a great fishing adventure!

Captain Jake was great. He took us to our first stop and immediately we caught a 32” red and then a 28” shortly after. We caught several fish at this location but unfortunately the wind forced us to move and seek a more protective area and the bite slowed down. Captain Jake was great with my 9 year old grandson. He gave him some great pointers and explained the marine life in the area. A large manatee swam right next to our boat which was very exciting. Overall it was a very good experience.

My 2 kids (9 and 12) and I had a phenomenal time out on the water with Captain Jake. We did the 4 hour in-shore fishing trip on a chilly day and it was still the experience of a lifetime! Not only did he get us on fish, he is an area native and therefore knowledgeable about all of the surrounding physical and political geography of the area. Not only did we catch a bunch of fish, we learned a lot, too! Last, and so importantly, he was AMAZING with my two kids! He is so kind and patient, and was EXACTLY the person I needed to help my children to develop their love for fishing! I would highly recommend Captain Jake to ANYONE!!! 10/10!

Great 1/2 day on the water with Jake! We booked a half day with Jake during December when fishing is supposedly slow. We spent the trip going to multiple spots consistently catching small croaker and other fish; however, for most of the trip we caught fish sporadically but nothing impressive. Jake was entertaining, great to talk to, and extremely knowledgeable about the area and marine life. He took us to different spots that he knew would have different fish. Towards the end of our trip he took us to a dock that he hoped would get us our big fish and my son caught a 26 1/4 inch redfish! We had a great time.

captain Jake is an amzing professional. Knowledgeable and attentive. it was a great time on the water. No pressure to return to dock. He was friendly and kept bait on the hooks. i would highly recommend a day on the water with his boat. Caught several fish and returned with dinner. Greatful for his skill and ability. He treated my family like his own. Already thing of a return trio next year. Almost hit the grand slam.

Weather was less than ideal. Heavy over cast skies, winds rocking up to 20 mph and early on the transition from low to high tide. However Captian Jake still had a good plan and got me and my family on fish. Snook werent cooperating but i was able to catch one of my target fish a nice Red. We look forward to returning and getting after more Specs, Reds and hopefully a Snook.

Jake is an awesome captain. Having fished all over the states and world with lots of guides, my son asked me how Id rank Jake. I told him that Jake was definitely in the top 1 or two spots. He works hard, is personable, takes time to share about the environment, fish, and the overall area. We had a great experience and will absolutely be back to fish with him again. Thanks Jake!

We booked a trip with Captain Jake for our son's 6th birthday as total beginners. Captain Jake was a fantastic teacher and had us oriented to the rods in no time. Our little guy caught a fish in his first five minutes! It was a fun day on the water catching a bunch of different types. Another highlight was a mom and baby dolphin that stayed by our boat for an hour-- closer than any dolphin-watching tour! Captain Jake is incredibly knowledgeable as well as warm and friendly. We had a wonderful morning with him and can't wait to book our next trip!

What a great fishing trip. Me and my wife went for our anniversary because she been ask me to go for a while. I decided to do a 2 hour trip just to see how it would go, I wish we would have did a full day. Captain Jake was just a pleasure to fish with. We had a lot of laughs traded so good storys and experiences. We caught a few fish but even if we didn’t we still would have had a great time. He’s very knowledgeable about where and how to fish and I highly recommend if you want to have a great fish trip you won’t go wrong with Captain Jake.

Took my husband for his birthday gift and it was definitely an amazing time. Capital Jake was very helpful and took us all over to make sure we were able to catch fish that we could take home. Definitely the best gift I could have gotten my husband! Captain Jakes personality and knowledge of the area made the trip amazing! Thank you for a great experience Captain Jake!
