Captains Tommy and Donald are some of the most experienced captains in the fleet with many decades of experience under their belt, they can help you reel in the catch you’ve always dreamed of. There’s no bad time to be fishing around here, so come on down and have some fun!
The Blue Runner II is a 42’ ChrisCraft sport fisher, and as you can see from the photos, she’s a beauty. She’s powered by a pair of 485 HP Detroit Diesel engines and has plenty of room aboard for up to six prospective anglers. Inside you’ll find a spacious and air-conditioned cabin where you can take a break and catch your breath whenever you want to.
The captains offer a variety of fishing packages to satisfy all your fishing needs and desires. Offshore trips are his specialty, and it’s here that you can find a number of different species to hook up. If you’re looking to put something in the freezer, you can bottom fish for Red and Vermilion Snapper, Triggerfish, and Gag Grouper. If you’re more interested in proper sportfishing, you can go after Sailfish, Kingfish, Amberjack, and many more.
Any given trip will include rods, reels, and terminal tackle in the price, along with the required fishing licenses. 20% gratuity for the first mate is very much appreciated, and he will clean and fillet the catch after the trip for your convenience. Pack some drinks or snacks, bring a pair of polarized sunglasses, and you’re ready to make your fishing dreams come true.
Please note: We try to catch live bait at the start of the trip or the Customer can opt to buy bait at his expense if available. This purchase is not covered in the price of the trip.

Full Day Trip – High Season
They'll put you on the fish!
My, my wife, son, daughter, and another friend went out on an 6am 8hr trip on the Blue Runner II, with Captain Tommy Carter, with his First Mate Jason. We caught a lot of Vermillion Snapper and some big North American Red Snapper, and one Grey Snapper. We also caught a lot of Grey Triggerfish which unfortunately were not yet in season. Captain Carter asked me what our goal was, and I told him we wanted to catch a bunch of fish, and he came through. He let us know that we would troll all the way out and all the way back, but that they had been seeing very little trolling strikes for a couple of weeks, but the bottom fishing had been very good. We've since had Vermillion Snapper tacos that would make your tongue slap the back of your head. The cabin was comfortable and spacious for all of us, well equipped, with good A/C.

Short notice excellent experience
Capt Tommy and mate Jason r seasoned veterans of the Destin dome. I’d always heard how good the offshore experience was out of Destin. It and blue runner 2 didn’t disappoint. Unfortunately I got the land legs dizzyman condition And I didn’t get to fish much but the wife caught 30 keeper vermilion snapper and fought a shark for 10 minutes or so. She loved that. Although she didn’t get it close enough to see what kind. She also lost some other bigger because of dolphins getting them before she could. All in all an excellent day. One we will both remember, especially the missus.

The captain called before the scheduled trip to set up a better day and time due to bad weather. The change in the trip that was recommended by the Captain was very much appreciated and much more memorable. The Captain/Crew did a wonderful job helping us make it one of our best outings ever. We got to learn all aspects from catching the bait to trolling to bottom fishing and bringing home supper. we will definitely repeat next time we make it back down here.
