Pelican Charters invites you to explore the Bayou’s most prolific waters! He specializes in inshore and nearshore excursions off the coast of Venice and has been fishing here since the day he could walk. He knows all the local hide-outs, he’s fished every honey hole in the area, and knows a thing or two about landing a Bull Redfish.
His boat is a 24’ Gravois center console with plenty of walkaround space for 4 people to fish comfortably. She comes with state-of-the-art navigational electronics, a wireless trolling motor, a live bait tank, and safety gear. Kids ages 2 and up are welcome aboard and he has life vests for them, as well.
The crew will take you along the inshore flats and shallow waters to target Redfish, Black Drum, Speckled Trout, and Flounder. You’ll also have a chance to go a bit further out to catch Sheepshead and other nearshore species. Some of the techniques you’ll be using include jigging, popping, or spinning, and you can also purchase live shrimp to use as bait.
You’ll be provided with top-quality Shimano and Penn tackle so you don’t have to lug around your own equipment. There’s also a cooler on board with water, but feel free to bring own drinks and snacks as well. If you need overnight accommodation, let the crew know in advance and they’ll hook it up for you.
Last but not least, be sure to purchase a fishing license and show up at the marina 15 minutes prior to departure. The fuel is not included in the prices and should be paid additionally. Everything else is taken care of so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride! Book your next fishing trip with Pelican Charters and get ready to land some monster fish down in the Bayou!
