Water Adventure – Big Boss 

Absolutely the best deep-sea fishing trip I’ve ever been on! We caught a mahi-mahi, several kingfish, and barracuda. roughly 15 total fish. and they were all huge! The captain and crew were awesome and easily one of the hardest-working crews I’ve ever seen. They worked nonstop to keep us on fish and make sure we had a great time. The captain even made us fresh ceviche right on the boat from our catch, which was incredible. They went above and beyond by cleaning and packaging our catch! Great fishing, great crew, and an experience we’ll never forget. I will 100% book with them again!

Captain Jamie and two crewmembers were fantastic and very accommodating. First thing I noticed was how clean and neat the boat was. Next, the rods and reels were very nice with fresh line. I've been on other fishing trips where the boat and rods and reels looked old and out dated and the line yellowed and frayed. Not this trip! This had my hopes high for the 6 hour trip with my wife and 9yo son. The crew managed to catch live bait as we were idling out of the marina. No wasted time there. After a short ride, we had about 12 nice amberjacks in the first hour of fishing! The rest of the day was spent trolling and finally bottom fishing as I had requested. We ended up with a boat load of fish! Arms tired, slightly sunburned, I enjoyed several cold beverages on the short ride back to the marina. Almost forgot to mention the ceviche which was a delicious snack. I've been on many trips when it seemed as though the crew was simply interested in taking our money and not so much fishing. This was absolutely not the case with these guys! My family had a blast and the crew made sure my wife and son had an enjoyable experience. I highly recommend this trip!!!

The crew worked really hard to keep the lines clear of sargassum and were on top of everything. The crew did most of the active fishing and we did the catching- not what we are used to but we adapted. we understand that most people do not know how to rig and set downriggers and outriggers. they have a great system and the experience shines through. The captain got on some fish during the slower and harder to fish season. Overall a great experience and we plan to return in the future during peak pelagic season for sails.

My family had the pleasure of fishing with Big Boss and her crew for a full 8 hour day. Our focus was on larger game, primarily Mahi Mahi, Marlin and Sailfish. Although no Marlin or Sailfish were caught, we did get 3 very large Mahi Mahi, one of which took nearly 30 minutes to battle to the boat. These guys put everything they had into trying to load our boat up. The ceviche the crew created with our Mahi Mahi was out of this world, and was devoured by our family. We plan on heading back in April again, and will definitely hire Big Boss' crew.

Great day fishing. Slow start mainly due to the slightly choppy seas. Crew constantly trying different lures and tactics to increase chances. As soon as the conditions flattened out the fish arrived. King mackerel first ,then a Personal best Barracuda and finally a magnificent Sailfish around 140 pounds (again a Personal best). Didn't get my Marlin (knew it was a long shot)but what a fantastic day. The Captain made us a delicious Cerviche lunch from the King Mackerel .The Sailfish was returned alive although Trophy Taxidermy is available, just not my thing. Highly recommended 👌

We had the best day out fishing today on the big boss. Captain and Diego took great care if us and we caught some amazing fish! They even helped us find a restaurant to cook it for us when done. A few of us were seasick and Diego was very caring and even got me a cold towel to try to help :) also when i got off the boat i dropped my phone in the water and Diego dove to the bottom and saved it- a plus it still worked! If you are looking for a trip - this is the boat and crew you want!

6 of us all family on the Big Boss boat today with captain and his crew. Waves were very big and the captain and crew got us out there to catch fish. 5 mahi mahi and a swordfish were caught. Swordfish and 4 mahi mahi released and they made us fresh civeche from our keepable mahi mahi. Transportation was amazing through Victor, $85.00 round trip from Royalton Splash to marina and back and Big Boss charter got this figured out for us. Soda, water, beers and snacks were provided on board.

Big Boss fishing was an excellent experience for my family of 5. I had my 7, 10 and 12 year old aboard who all had the best time. we started it off with a dorado and then a trophey White Marlin that was a chore to get in. When we come back we will definately use Big Boss again. They were great communicating back about rescheduling due to bad weather with zero issues. The only negative is the price does not include transport to the marina.

First off, I want to say that both our captain and mate worked their absolute asses off to get us on as many fish as possible. We didn’t catch any trophies this trip, which was unfortunate, but I booked the charter a little too early in the season. That’s fishing though, you don’t catch monsters every time. What really makes the difference is the energy the crew brings and the effort they put in. I’ve gone on many charters in my life, and I have never seen such an excited and determined crew. About six hours into our trip, we got hit by a monsoon-level storm, but that didn’t stop them. We pushed through and ended up catching more than 15 bottom fish, which our captain immediately turned into amazing fresh ceviche (keep in mind I hate fish and this stuff was amazing) while we were getting pelted with rain. This crew is astounding. We learned a lot, and we had a lot of fun and laughs along the way. If you’re on the fence, book it, I promise it will be worth it. I’m already looking at coming back later this year or next year to chase that monster, and there’s no crew I’d rather do it with.

Very windy day arrived early to the boat Captain Jaime said the crew and himself would have a little lunch, and we could start at noon. One hour earlier than expected. The Crew was 2 men Julio and Lorenzo. They were very accommodating to get both of us Senior Citizens aboard. They were so friendly, getting all 6 lines in the water quickly. They offered us beverages and off we went trolling like we were promised. Had plenty of action catching King and Spanish Mackerel, Baracuda,Bonita. At one point the Crew said Big Bait- Big fish and prepared 2 huge Baitfish and waited for Action. Not long after one pole bent over and I was totally Freaked Out over what I had on the line . It felt like i was pulling an Automobile off bottom, only to have it come off shortly after. We had another similar bite and lost that one quickly also. But the Excitement will last a Lifetime. We ended up fishing for 5 hours, an hour longer than expected. Can’t say how happy we were with the experience. By far best fishing charter I’ve ever encountered in Mexico. Also VERY RESONABLY priced compared to other charters. Nice People!
