Big Boss - Water Adventure would like to welcome you to Puerto Morelos and offer you some of the greatest fishing experiences in the area, cruising through fish-rich turquoise Caribbean waters. Your captain for the day is a passionate fisherman who can’t wait to put you on the catch of your life.
The captain loves teaching kids (all ages welcome) and he will get them on a load of fish, starting with smaller and working up to bigger fish throughout the day. He can also go all-out sportfishing with pros.
“Big Boss” is a 38 Chris-Craft convertible boat powered by twin 375 HP Caterpillar 3208 engines. This beauty can take up to 10 anglers fishing without tangling lines. It’s equipped with the latest navigational technology and fishing equipment, including 5 outriggers, downriggers, and the best, most colorful lures on the market to bring in the big ones.
Depending on the time of the year, you can reel in prestigious catches such as Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, Blue Marlin, Sailfish, White Marlin, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, and Barracuda. The charter offers topwater trolling, as well as deep bottom fishing.
Your fishing experience will include all the tackle, lures, frozen Ballyhoo, along with sodas and beer (national). On Full Day trips, the crew will happily make a delicious ceviche with your catch of the day or they can also clean and fillet the fish for you to take home. The captain can even take you to the best local restaurants where you can have your catch cooked up with rice and salad. The best part? It will cost you only $10!

Double Sailfish Day
What a great day for fishing. The communication was great setting up the trip. They even setup transport round trip (for a fee, but appreciated their help). We had a party of 7 for a 4 hour trip, some of the young ones were battling the ol' hang over, but they muscled through. We were lucky enough to hook 2 sailfish at once and pulled them both in. Took some pics and released them both. We caught a couple mahi early and I believe a Cobia towards the end of the trip. Both the captain and first mate did an outstanding job finding the fish and working the lines! I would highly recommend Big Boss ! They work hard and find the action! Great memories and great catches!

Unforgettable Fishing Trip
This was my second time fishing in the Puerto Morelos area — and by far the best trip I've had. My brother-in-law and I went out with Captain Jamie and Julio, and they were incredible. You can tell they truly love what they do — full of energy, locked in on the water, and always making sure we were in the right spot and taken care of. Jamie and Julio followed the birds and kept us on fish all day long. We caught 24 fish total, including a massive sailfish and plenty of mahi-mahi (dorado). We let the smaller ones go and still brought in an impressive haul. The boat was clean, well-maintained, and fully stocked with cold beers, sodas, and water. We had music blasting, everyone was singing, fishing, and soaking in the good vibes — it felt more like a celebration than just a fishing trip. When we got back to the dock, our wives and family were waiting for us, and Captain Jamie walked us over to a local restaurant where they cooked up some of our fresh catch. We all sat down together, swapped stories from the day, and enjoyed the meal and shared with people around since we had so much food. A perfect ending to an unforgettable experience. If you're considering a fishing trip while in Cancun area, I highly recommend investing in yourself and booking with Jamie and Julio. It's more than worth it. 3/4 Day Trip
What an amazing day!
Thank you so much for an amazing day! It's always wonderful to be out on the sea, but the adventure today was more than special. We we're out for 3/4 day from the lovely Puerto Morelos and while it started a little slow, it ended with way more action than we anticipated. First a couple of Mahi Mahis which secured a fantasticly fresh chevice lunch, and then on the way back a great sailfish (biggest if the season?!) got us fighting for quite a while, long enough for another Mahi Mahi to bite as well, so both me and my daughter were reeling in fish at the same time 😁 Thank you so much for an unforgettable day! ❤️

3/4 Day Trip
First Time Out!
The captain and crew were incredibly helpful from booking to arranging transportation to and from our resort, to the excursion itself. We loved being able to decide how long we wanted to stay out, since we planned to have grandpa with us and no idea how we all would do with the high waves and rocking boat. Turned out perfect, because sure enough two in our group were very sick. However, they hung in there and within 1 1/2 hrs my son caught a Sail Fish and a Big Mahi Mahi back to back. He was thrilled to say the least. We then headed back in. They prepped our Mahi to be able to be prepared by our resort chefs and it was amazing!!! We were able to set up for the SailFish to be mounted and shipped to us. This was not a cheap option, but one that will be treasured by my 17yr old son forever! Worth every penny to have been there to see him real that sucker in. Thank you so much Benjamin and Jaime for a wonderful morning. You are the best!!

3/4 Day Trip
15 fish over 6 hr trip!
I have been on 5 deep sea fishing trips and this was easily the best one. Of course it helps to catch fish, but the crew was great, my ride back to the hotel was late and the captain stayed with me and called the company for me to get me back. All around great experience. 45 minutes into the trip and we hooked into a 70 lbs sailfish! What a thrill!! We then landed 4 mahi (boy do mahi pull hard), and 10 barracuda! We were hitting the barracuda at times so fast my son and I were both reeling them in at the same time. They filleted up one of the mahi's on the boat and made ceviche. Was excellent and a nice snack to have after a long day. Will 100% book with them next time.

Thank you so much for an amazing day! It's always wonderful to be out on the sea, but the adventure today was more than special. We we're out for 3/4 day from the lovely Puerto Morelos and while it started a little slow, it ended with way more action than we anticipated. We loved being able to decide how long we wanted to stay out, since we planned to have grandpa with us and no idea how we all would do with the high waves and rocking boat.
