Captain Alex Genetau is dedicated to put you on the fish in several unique fisheries of South Florida, where you'll be able to target a variety of different species depending on the time of the year.
The pristine waters of South Florida are an excellent choice for fishing with friends, family, or even as an original corporate team building event. Whatever the occasion, Captain Alex is all about making your group's fishing experience fun, special, and memorable.
Captain Genetau operates a 22' Pathfinder 2200V center console, providing a comfy ride and equipped for various fishing environments. The boat is powered by a 200 HP Yamaha engine and features a wireless trolling motor, push pole, as well as a YETI cooler.
The boat is rigged with a conventional selection of navigational gear including Garmin GPS, radio, and fishfinder. Quality fishing gear (mainly by Shimano) and anything else you might need for the trip is made available by Alex, but you are also free to bring and use your own fishing equipment, supplies, food, etc.
Other than being knowledgeable, Captain Alex is friendly, patient, and loves passing on his fishing expertise and passion with his guests. He's graduated from Florida International University, earning a Bachelor's in Hospitality Management, which has taught him how to pay attention to details and provide excellent customer service.
Most trips depart out of Flamingo in Everglades National Park, targeting Redfish, Snook, Tarpon, and Sea Trout. Trips out of Ten Thousand Islands off the coast of Naples and Biscayne Bay are common as well, targeting these and other species. Night-time fishing trips are a popular activity as well, fishing for 80+ lb Tarpon, Snook, Snapper, and Jacks off the coast of Miami Beach.

Took my seven year old son with Captain Alex. Caught Jacks, sharks, snook and a couple of snapper. He cleaned up the snapper and recommended a restaurant to cook them up. Rounding out a great day for Father and Son on the water!
Had a great trip this morning with Captain Alex. Was communicative and made sure we found the boat easily. The trip itself couldn’t have gone any better. We were on the fish right from the start. Caught a bunch of large snapper, yellow jacks, barracuda, etc. We also had a close encounter with a shark when it came and snatched one of the fish we were reeling in which was very cool. Alex is also very personable and was great to spend time with out on the boat, especially with us very casual fishers. Highly recommend Alex if you are looking for a trip in the Miami area!
