The waters off the coast of California have plenty to offer to any angler: from bottom fishing hook ups to offshore extravaganza. Off The Grid will put you on the hottest bite on top of premier proven fish havens.

Captain William Ting invites you to join him for a fishing excursion on board his 28' Desina RIB. She's a patrol boat capable of holding 6 passengers with ease, without bumping elbows while fishing. However, it is highly recommended that we only have 4 people fishing to give you the best 'private boat experience'! She's equipped for both comfort and action – giving you the best shot at landing 'that one' fish.

The onboard live bait well ensures that your bait will be alive and ready for the bite! This boat is fast and will get you to the fishing grounds quickly to give you max time for fishing.

The charter will supply you with all the necessary fishing equipment for a wide range of fishing styles you can try. Light or heavy tackle, spinning or fly casting, bottom fishing, or using a kite – they have it covered. They can even take you spearfishing, though spearos should bring their own gear.

This plethora of fishing techniques matches the variety of fish species you can pick and choose from. Shorter trips will see you on top of rockfish, seabass, Calico Bass, barracuda, Bonito, and other species.

Kids of all ages are welcome on board, the captain will supply life jackets in all sizes. High-quality tackle by companies like Shimano, Daiwa, iRod, and others is supplied as well, though you can bring your lucky rod if you want to.

Explore California as you've never before.

We caught LOTS of fish

We wanted to go off shore, but had no luck. The captain recommended moving closer to in shore and then we couldn't stop catching bass, barracuda, and bonita.

great morning fishing!
3 hour easy fishing on January 17, 20262 adults

We had a great time fishing with Travis. Before heading to the first spot, we stop by to see a whale and her calf. Then we tried our luck in a few spots. We only caught small fishes as this is a slow time of the year. We had fun however and Travis was super nice and knowledgeable (and patient with newbies like us)

Had a blast with my kid
Half Day Trip (AM) on August 17, 20254 adults1 child

We went out with William and his deckhand for my son’s 14th birthday. He didn’t have much experience but was excited to learn. William was very patient and helped teach him how to bait up, cast, and land fish. We were getting bites all day and must have caught over 50 fish as a group. My son had a great time and wants to go back!!
