Big mahalos to Captain Noah & Patrick for making sure we never came home empty handed. Even though our backup plan was stopping at the fish market…just wouldn’t be the same, right?! Fishermen, you may decide to go budget and save a few bucks by sailing with a large charter of 30-40 people. But then, after paying for boat entry and fees for rod/reel, bait, tackle, etc., not to mention the frustration of crossing lines and catching zero fish, will you really save?! And you absolutely cannot beat the 47’ Jersey Luxury “Tartar Sauce! I love to fishing, but I love catching more than fishing! Captain Steve did not disappoint! We got the trifecta catching Bass, Benitos, and Barracuda. Within the bass family we caught Calico, Spotted, and Sand Bass! Patrick was awesome also with keeping fresh, live bait on our lines the whole time! But he was busy pulling fish off our lines all day too! Then he filleted our fish right on the boat to take home! Steve likes to tailor the experience to whatever you’d like, so we even trolled for a bit trying to catch different species of fish! We’ll be coming back with more family!

We had a blast me and my brother took the kids out for June birthday trip. 🎂 Captain Steve was great to deal with and lined up the trip perfect. We had the pleasure of going out with Captain Noah. we were on fish in 10 minutes the kids were smashing Calico bass and barracuda almost one after another. They were great with the kids very accommodating and we will definitely being Rock N Reel sports fishing again. Thank you all for being that special crew for the whole family.

All new to fishing. They were very patient with us and basically did all the hard work. We just need to reel fish in and enjoy ourselves. Definitely will be booking again in the future.

Great way to spend my 60th. Captain Steve and Thor made my Bday. Great personalities made it fun and best of all SIX OF US CAUGHT FISH! The boat is comfortable and spacious.

Overall great experience! Our captain Noah was able to put us on the fish immediately. Thor was very knowledgeable and fun to learn from! They allowed the ability to set the hook and fight the fish yourself for people comfortable fishing, but were also very helpful and patient for people not as comfortable. We reeled in 3 Mako sharks and enjoyed our time on the water. One of the best experiences during our time visiting CA. We would highly recommend!

If I could give more stars I would. Second time going out with the rocken reel crew. We went out with Captain Steve and deckhand Noah. They had stories and jokes,to go with their knowledge of the area. Got the opportunity to go out on the SS Tartar Sauce, great boat. Started off by catching some barracuda, bonita, calico bass, and mackerel. Captain Steve straight be lined to that hot spot where we were catching and reeling in fish every two minutes. Then we moved on to another area saw some dolphins and captain diverted so we could see them from the bow of the boat. Then we had an epic time catching mako sharks. Hooked a very large one that broke loose. Reset and hooked another 5 minutes later that one broke loose too! But reset and caught two more and brought them in and released them. So another great experience with this charter group. I recommend them to anyone looking to have a good time and experience. Only charter I will use.

We had a great trip with Rocken Reel! We were celebrating my sons 13th birthday and they made him feel so special! My son really wanted to catch a barracuda, and both him and my husband caught one! along with about 30 sea bass! We ended the day catching a mako shark! It was awesome! The crew worked like crazy to make sure we caught fish and we had the best time! I would recommend them to anyone!

We booked this for my son’s 13th birthday. We flew in from Colorado with his best friend in tow and the captain made sure that they were going to catch fish. They went above and beyond to make sure they did, and were just amazing to my family. The captain had us come back to make up for the fact we didn’t catch much on the first round. To me that speaks volumes. It’s about the experience to him and his crew. I can never thank them enough for the memories created today.
