Fishing Herradura 

Not many boats out today. We fished offshore all day with little success trolling for the big fish we were hoping for.we caught 4 black tuna. One was bog and the rest were pretty small Beautiful weather. Boat was immaculate and David was very friendly and always busy. Captain Randy asked if we minded bottom fishing for a while so we could catch some fish. We pulled a 20+ pound yellow tail tuna, 2 nice grouper and 2 tile fish. Since we now had plenty of meat, we decided to try for some game fish. David cut up a delicious plate of fresh caught tuna. We didn’t have any more luck so headed in. Awesome day. Awesome of Randy to at least put some fish in the boat. Great crew to enjoy a day on the water with.

We booked an all day trip with Captain Randy and 1st mate David. They were fabulous! Captain Randy was very interactive with us as most captains that we’ve gone out with before on different trips rarely even spoke to us! Their friendliness, knowledge, and work effort gave us a great trip. We caught 6 yelllow fin tuna in the morning, and in the afternoon, very briefly hooked a sailfish but it got away quickly, and we almost had a mahi mahi in the boat but at the last second it spit the hook out. Randy had a great musical playlist which was wonderful to listen to. I was confused about the meeting area but just go to Playa Herradura and you’ll see the huge sign for water taxi. At the shoreline tell the water taxis you’re fishing with Randy or Los Cielos and they’ll take you right out to his boat. 1st mate David made fresh ceviche for us, plenty of cold water, sodas, and beer (if you like), great pineapple snack and sandwiches for lunch. There was a sun shade on the boat along with a toilet. 1st mate David filleted our catch and bagged it up for us. We got off the boat and took it to Coco’s restaurant right in the beach and they cooked it up for us! Delicious! We will definately book with Captain Randy again!

I’ve been fishing several times but never had this much success (and fun!) catching fish. Once we got out to depth, we were consistently on fish, sometimes with two reels at the same time. In the end, We caught several mahi mahi, yellowfin tuna, and a couple of trophy sized snappers. One was about 40 lbs and the other was 25 or so. We even hooked a shark that was at least 100 lbs and fought with it for 45 minutes be fore it broke the reel just as we got it right up along side the boat. The captain that day (no Randy) and First mate David worked their tails off and were really cool to talk to. I appreciate them making this our best fishing experience

Captain Randy and his crew were friendly, professional and the best at what they do! We had a great time on their clean and comfortable boat! They were determined to make our entire trip successful and fun and they achieved that and then some! They took the utmost care in catching and cleaning the fish and were cautious when releasing the ones we couldn't keep. Lunch was simple and delicious, too! Some of the fish we caught on our 5 hour trip were Mahi Mahi (various sizes), Spanish Mackerel, Sailfish, Black Tuna.

I was super impressed by the Captain. We had an incredible day. I hired at the night before and explained to him. I wanted to catch some rooster fish. When we got on board, he explained to me what we were going to do and that was our target and we ended up packing our car. It was an incredible time super knowledgeable. I would recommend to anyone they fit me give me beers, water and sandwich sandwiches. It was just a great overall experience. I will definitely be back Captain Randy and his mate.

Randy and especially David worked hard to get us fish. We trolled for sail fish for about 2 hours with no luck. Boats around us were catching them. David switched it up and we caught 3 Mahi. They provided lunch and drinks. We cut the trip short due to getting sea sick despite taking Dramamine. We saw a large pod of dolphins on the way back to shore. Good experience.

Captain Randy and deck hand David worked so hard to get us on the fish. We caught 4 sailfish on our trip. 2 of them were 9 feet long! We chased tuna but it wasnt meant to be that day. Lunch was delicious as well as the snacks. The cooler was well stocked with beer, pop and water. The boat is not huge but it was perfect for our family of 5. As a bonus we saw about 100 dolphins and 5 sea turtles! Overall it was a great experience and I highly recommend Randy and David for your fishing trip.

Captain David and his first mate Bradly were great. From the on boarding until we returned was amazing. We caught 5 yellow fin tuna and 1 mahi mahi. Captain Davie fixed sashimi for us on the trip which was amazing. Captain David and Bradly fileted all the fish and prepared it for us to take back to our condo. We have had some of the best meals the past couple of days. We are looking forward to coming back and fishing with them again.

Took my son on his first offshore trip and we had a blast. We’re in the off season so a little limited on options but the crew did a great job getting us on Caberro Snappers and a ton of Dorado. Javier and David were a fantastic crew. They busted their butt today trying to get us hooked up. Legitamately great homies.

We had a fantastic time with Randy and the team. They made us feel welcome and at ease right away. My son was shy about it but they were able to turn it around. We caught 2x Yellow fina, 1x Albacore, 2 red snapper including a large one, Mahi and a few others. I would book with them in a heart beat!
