You'll embark on your angling adventure on board a 23' Mako. She's a center console, perfectly suited to the nearshore and offshore waters just off the coast of Playa Del Carmen. The onboard outriggers and downriggers will give you an edge when trolling since you can wet more lines at the same time. Once you get a strike, make sure to strap in the fighting chair, the fish you'll target with the crew will test your skill and muscles.
Kids can have a lot of fun bottom fishing for Snapper and Grouper just a few miles away from the coast. If you're looking to reel in a pelagic predator you're in luck – you'll be going after them a bit further out. Mahi Mahi, Barracuda, Wahoo, Sailfish, Blue and White Marlin can all be targeted, when in season. If you're looking for a workout you can also hook up Amberjack, one of the toughest fighters pound-for-pound.

All payments are due in USD on the day of the trip. If you wish to pay in Mexican Pesos, the total will be calculated prior to the trip so you can come prepared. Please contact us before the trip so we can inform you of the amount due in Pesos. Please note that if you're paying via credit or debit card, a local conversion rate will be applied.

Easy to find a boat on fishingbooker, the reviews and submitted pictures helped find reputable charters. We booked The Rusty Hook the day before. Messenging was prompt. And directions from our resort were clear for our cab driver. We Booked 3/4 day, and dropped in 4 lines immediately as we left the marina. The water was quite choppy as we motored East and after 90 minutes we turned south and it got smoother motoring with the waves but against the current, then we started getting hits. Reeled in 3 Mahi Mahi and 1 Barracuda, lost a couple others. Neo was awesome, busy the whole time setting & baiting rods and trying to rid the lines of sargassum. My brother in laws first time fishing in the ocean. Was totally worth it and fun was had by all. Would totally recommend The Rusty Hook
The guys picked us up right where they said they would and are super friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we did not catch anything but they sure tried and explained it all. We did this with our seven year old son and we certainly recommend doing this experience!! Easy to find and super safe. Thank you!

lost on a big bite and also had a dorado on but off at boat. Pulled two trigger fish in that were good sized. Saw a couple large sea turtles as well. Crew kept things ready and kept us informed on what they were doing and why. Always fun to get out on the water!

Did a 4hr AM trip this morning. It was easy to find and a short distance from the resort. Caught 5 Mahi Mahi and 2 snapper. Had the fish cooked at the Fragata Beach Club next to the boat. Overall a good day.
Great crew, excellent with my 12yo. lots of bites, good mix of deep sea and bottom fishing. Hooked a mahi and the crew filleted it, packed it, and recommended a fantastic spot in town to prepare civeche and more.
