Fishing is a huge passion of Captain Tony Battista, and has been for decades now. Booking a trip with him at Saltwater Adventures LLC is sure to be awesome, as his enthusiasm is contagious! You’ll be fishing like a pro in no time.

You will spend the day on board a 25’ custom built Cold Molded center console boat. You and 3 fishing friends will fish in comfort, and the vessel’s 250 Yamaha engine will get you to the fishing grounds before you know it. She also boasts full navigational equipment, which, paired with Capt. Tony’s great knowledge of the area, will have you reeling in the fish fast.

Trips run year round, but you can expect to catch different species during different seasons. From April you can expect Tautog and Flounder, moving to Sea Bass, Tilefish, Mako and Thresher Shark in May. June sees plenty of Tuna making their run, as well as billfish and Mahi Mahi. October is peak fishing time and will see you catch the best variety, including Wahoo. Even in January some years migrating Striper can be caught.

Different species will see you using different techniques to catch them, such as trolling, spinning, drift fishing, and jigging. There is something for everybody! Children are also welcome on board.

On every trip 2 t-shirts will be given free. The trips also include all top of the line Daiwa and Shimano rods and reels, so you can rest assured that your gear won’t let you down when you are battling your dream fish.

Capt. Tony will also provide drinks during the trips. You are welcome to bring snacks, but you’ll be too busy to sit down and eat!

So what are you waiting for? Come have a trip of a lifetime with Saltwater Adventures LLC, and make some memories that will last forever. Capt. Tony can’t wait to welcome you on board.

Most of the boat traffic for the day is already off the water. It is very peaceful and serene. If we are lucky, we will have a spectacular sunset. As for the fishing, there are many options. Drifting for flounder, site casting for the schooling fish that come to the surface chasing the bait . If the tides are right we can also cast lures around the bridge pilings or rock jetties that line the inlet. Pack your dinner and eat out on the water while enjoying the most beautiful time of the day.

If you would like to catch a variety of fish, then wreck fishing is a great option. Ocean City's coastline is home to many shipwrecks and artificial reef sites. You never know what's going to bite. Seabass, Tog, Flounder, Triggerfish, Spadefish, Trout, Croaker, Kingfish, Lingcod, sharks, and Cobia all hang out in these areas. On the 4-hour trip, we will be targeting areas out to 6 miles off the beach.

Trolling is the best way to cover a lot of ground when fishing. On these trolling trips, you deploy four rods with artificial lures behind the boat. The boat stays in motion and you drag these lures over structures and areas that are known to hold fish. This can be exciting because you never know what's going to bite next. On the 4-hour trip (up to 6 miles out), you target both Spanish and King Mackerel, Bluefish, and occasional Cobia.

Same as the 4-hour wreck fishing trip, but the extra hour allows us to venture a little farther (up to 12 miles) off the beach. There are many artificial reef sites in this area that can produce lots of action when the conditions are right.

Same as the 4-hour trolling trip, but the extra hour allows you to get in a little deeper water (out to 12 miles). Again, you will be targeting structure and areas that tend to hold fish. At certain times of the year, you encounter Mahi Mahi in this area.

6 Hour Trip – Wreck Fishing

6 Hour Trip, starts at 6:30 AM
    $800
This is the crew's farthest destination for wreck fishing. You will be fishing wrecks and artificial reef sites from 15-18 miles off the beach. The water will range from 60-90 feet deep. Maryland's best catches of keeper Seabass come from these areas. Flounder, Triggerfish, and Bluefish also hang out here. At certain times of the year, Mahi Mahi is a strong possibility.

6 Hour Trip, starts at 6:30 AM

On this trip, you head out 18 miles to an area known as the "Jackspot". It can best be described as an underwater hill. The water on top of this hill can be as shallow as 42 feet and the water that surrounds it can be as deep as 90 feet. This area is known to hold a lot of bait fish and this amount of bait fish can attract a lot of different species. You just never know what is going to bite here. This area is your best opportunity for Mahi Mahi, but Marlin, Tuna, and Wahoo have all been caught here.

I started fishing with my grandfather at age 9. As a child, I grew up fishing on the banks of the Chesapeake Bay and off of the Rt. 50 Bridge in Ocean City, MD. In the early days it was all about Perch (both Yellow and White) and small rockfish. In Ocean City, it was all Flounder. My grandfather loved to catch Flounder. In my early teens I was introduced to trolling. Mostly for Striped Bass and Bluefish on the Chesapeake. These fish would range from 5 to 20 pounds with an occasional fish over 25. It was on one of these trolling trips that I got to experience light tackle fishing for the first time. Late in the afternoon, a school of 10-12 pound Stripers started breaking on the surface. The captain had the mate pull all of the trolling gear in and then handed everyone a spinning rod with a red and white bucktail on it. For the next 2 hours, we made cast after cast hooking up every time. I was hooked! I couldn't get enough of fishing, it's all I wanted to do during my summer breaks!
