Captain Ruben Garcia of Reel Off Charters invites you to spend a memorable day with him fishing bountiful Texas waters. He has been fishing the Laguna Madre, stretching from South Padre Island, across Arroyo City to Port Mansfield, since he was five years old. As well as this, he has been guiding for over 25 years.
His boat is a 26.5 ft.Shallow Master Pro bay boat that runs smooth and dry with a 300HP TRP engine. The vessel is 8' wide providing up to 6 customers with a lot of space for casting. It comes equipped with a fish finder, safety gear, live bait tank, and an ice-box.
Captain Ruben Garcia also runs a Nauticstar 2602 Legacy boat that is big and comfortable for fishing deeper waters when the bite is on in deeper water.
Captain Ruben specializes in live bait fishing using mullet, croaker, and shrimp. He also uses lures. He'll take you exploring rich inshore, nearshore, and flats areas in pursuit of a variety of species. Depending on the bite, your main targets will be Trout, Redfish, Black Drum, Flounder, Snook, Mangrove Snapper, Whiting, Shark, and many others.
Everything you'll need for a productive day on the water is provided by the charter, including all bait, tackle, and fish cleaning and bagging. The only thing you need is your drinks – the captain will provide an ice chest and ice for you. A fishing license is required for the day so make sure to buy it before the trip. Live bait is provided if available at the store; otherwise, it'll be replaced with very efficient frozen bait.

We had a blast! Captain Ruben with Reel Off Charters kept us on fish all morning! We caught 8 total target fish with 5 keepers. 2 spotted trout, 2 black drum and a big red fish. It was a ton of fun, and my wife’s first time saltwater fishing. We are talking about possibly going again this trip, but we will for sure be going again next summer.

Thank you guys! Great time and tight lines. Till next time. 😎
Best fishing trip to date! We ended up with a mixed bag of black drum, redfish and trout. Overall it was a HOT bite. We had a little while maybe 30-40min that the bite died down then we switched spots and it picked right back up again. Captain Ruben is awesome, very knowledgeable and extremely patient with the novice anglers and kids in our group. We were repeat customers and today just reminded us why we booked him again. Everyone is worn out from all the action and we are looking forward to our next trip with him.

Thank you guys! Fun time and tight lines.

I booked Captain Garcia for my dad’s birthday trip, and we had an amazing time! Captain Garcia was incredibly attentive and went out of his way to accommodate us. He was also great with the kids, taking the time to teach them how to cast and explaining fish behavior while we were out on the water. It made the experience even more special for everyone. My family and I truly had a blast and look forward to booking with Captain Garcia again in the near future!

👍 Thank you

Fishing with Captain Ruben Garcia was a great experience from start to finish. He was ready to go right on time at 6:30am, and his communication leading up to the trip was clear and professional. Out on the water, he was friendly, easy to talk to, and made the morning enjoyable for both me and my daughter. We had some solid action - reeling in several spotted trout, including one that measured 19.5 inches. The highlight was a strong 31-inch redfish. Even though we also ended up with a hardhead, it was a fun and smooth trip with great company and good fishing.

👍 Yes sir. Thank you guys. Fun time and tight lines.
Captain Garcia was an awesome fisherman guide and really made this experience unforgettable for me and my family! He not only knows the waters but knows his fish. We all caught speckled trought and some catfish. He provides the bait and guts your catch and he even recommended a really good restaurant that cooked our catch amazingly! You are in good hands with Captain Garcia’s 20 plus experience of being a fisherman and I highly recommend him. He is also very nice and well mannered. We will definitely book him again in the future!

👍 Thank you guys. It was fun fishing with you all. Nice to have met you guys. Till next time.
