If you're looking to explore the stunning waters around the Malé and Vaavu Atolls, or want to spice up your vacation in the beautiful Maldives, then come aboard Silent Hunter and get ready to sample some of the finest fish these waters have to offer!
Captain Abdul Mubeen is a Maldivian native who knows these waters intimately, and he loves introducing guests from all walks of life to some true island-style fishing. Most of his guests are friends or friends-of-friends who really love the local flavour that he adds to his trips. If you're joining Capt. Abdul from further afield, you'll leave your trip feeling like you're part of the local family!
You'll head out on your adventure in a 21' Offshore center console, newly built in 2018. Powered by one 150 HP Yamaha engine with a maximum cruising speed of 38 knots, this craft will take you to the hotspots in no time. The boat is fitted with GPS and fishfinder to help you on your quest. Up to 4 anglers can come aboard, so expect a quiet, chilled-out fishing trip (island-style!) that'll let you unwind but also feel the thrill of the chase.
You'll be cruising the waters around the Malé and Vaavu Atolls, which are known for their abundance of world-class fish. Expect to come face-to-gills with Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, a huge variety of Tuna (including the hard-fighting Yellowfin!), Red Snapper, Barracuda, and plenty more. You'll be trying a variety of techniques to reel in your catch, including trolling, handlining, and jigging. Want to earn some serious bragging rights? Ask your captain about the possibility of spearfishing!
Capt. Abdul also offers guests the chance to take part in some snorkeling. If you'd like to explore these beautiful waters close up, just let your captain know—he can provide the gear for you.

Being an avid angler from Florida and traveling 30hrs to the Maldives for our honeymoon I had high hopes and expectations. Mubeen was very professional and responsive from day one! Faced with a couple tough fishing days these guys went above and beyond to get us on the fish! My wife loved the boat the equipment was top knotch the crew is a great bunch of guys and overall great experience! I hope to have the opportunity to fish with these guys again!

Captain Abdul and the Silent Hunter crew are absolutely dedicated to giving you the experience you are looking for. Days before the trip they were communicating with me to figure out what kind of experience we were looking for. As an avid angler, I wanted to have the ultimate fishing experience that was active (not chasing tuna or marlin for hours). We deep water jigged for most the day and when the weather changed we adapted to casting into the reef for GTs. The crew were tirelessly working to help us get on the big fish we were after. I hooked into a Goliath grouper which tragically ended in a broken line after a long insane fight! We also went out a second day to fish some more and also swim with the sharks at Vaavu atol. These guys are locals and truly know the area and what they are doing. They are super friendly, funny, and just great to hang with too. We'd spend all day with these guys even without the fishing. :) And yes they speak English, so no communication issues at all. Don't book a trip through your hotel. Book Silent hunter. It's way cheaper and the experience will be unforgettable. (Just make sure your hotel allows for 3rd party boats to dock on the island and insist on it if they resist). Me and my brother had an amazing experience on board a nice boat with a friendly, knowledgeable and happy crew. We tried many different techniques and caught a lot of fish guided by the crew. We caught big wahoos and GTs and two species of tuna. Captain and his crew took us to many different spots and also showed us the beauty of the maldivian marin life. We were lucky to see turtles, mantarays and dolphins. Captain and his crew are very proffesional and also very inviting and really make you feel like you are out fishing with your friends. Highly recommend! Thank you for an amazing experiense, until next time!

The crew went out their way to go the extra mile for us.....we caught two GT'S on popping and jigging. Lost a very big GT, bent the hook straight!! Excellent guide, excellent skipper!!
