Target Spanish mackerel, snapper, tuna and a wide range of reef species on the productive offshore grounds of the Gold Coast aboard our spacious 38-ft charter vessel.

Join Top Gear Fishing Charters for a genuine offshore fishing adventure on the Gold Coast, targeting some of the best reef and pelagic species our waters have to offer.

Operating from the Gold Coast Spit, you'll fish aboard our 38' purpose-built commercial fishing vessel, designed for real offshore conditions. The boat is stable, spacious and built for serious fishing, with massive deck space and a strict maximum of 12 guests, giving everyone room to fish comfortably.

Whether it's your first time offshore or you've been fishing your whole life, our crew works hard to ensure every guest enjoys a well-run, productive and memorable day on the water.

We supply quality Penn and Shimano rods and reels, fresh bait and live bait, and we're always happy to help — from showing beginners the basics to helping experienced anglers land quality fish.

Depending on the season and conditions we regularly target Snapper, Pearl Perch, Sweetlip, Jewfish, Kingfish, Cobia, Flathead, Mackerel, Tuna and Mahi Mahi, with opportunities for Marlin and Sailfish when they're around.

We constantly monitor conditions and move between reefs and fishing grounds to stay on the fish and give our guests the best possible chance of success.

Your catch is handled using the Japanese Ikejime method for premium eating quality, then cleaned and bagged so you can take home the freshest fish possible.

Families, beginners, experienced anglers and small groups are all welcome.

And fellas… fair warning — the girls often out-fish the boys.

One rule onboard:

ABSOLUTELY NO BANANAS ON THE BOAT.

If you're ready for bent rods, big smiles and a proper Gold Coast fishing charter experience —

Let's go fishing.

Great Captain & Crew
Half Day Trip (AM) on March 21, 20261 adult
The weather wasn’t great today and the sea was a little rocky. The fish weren’t biting much today either but Capt Drew did find them, they just weren’t biting. I did catch one trag jew and two other people caught a couple, disappointing but not due to any fault of Capt Drew’s. Very friendly knowledgeable crew, will be back to catch a snapper. Thankyou Drew and Clay.

Awsome Morning Fishing
Half Day Trip (AM) on March 5, 20263 adults
An awesome morning out on the water, trolling and fishing. Drewe and Clay were fantastic with hands-on help and advice. The weather wasn’t favourable, but we still managed to catch fish. I highly recommend a day fishing with Drewe and Clay; they’ll do everything they can to make your day on the water a fantastic one.

Great Day out with a Great Crew
Half Day Trip (AM) on January 7, 20262 adults1 child
Spent a great day on the ocean with my 10 year old Grandson , our Captain Brian landed us over the top of huge schools of fish over and over again , but they just weren’t taking the bait today. Didn’t seem to matter though as the boys looked after us and made the day one to remember. Would definitely do it again. 👍
