If you're ready to try fishing in Stuart, look no further than Catch of the Day. Your guide for the day is Captain Trent, allowing you to benefit from their local experience.
Depending on conditions, you might hook into Amberjack, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), King Mackerel (Kingfish), Cobia, Sailfish, Gag Grouper, Mangrove Snapper, Mutton Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Yellowfin Tuna, and anything else that bites.
Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself spinning, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Trent can also show you kite fishing.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Also remember to bring snacks to stay fueled throughout your trip!
You'll be casting lines from a 37' Sportfishing with space for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. What's more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible.
Rods, reels, and tackle are provided. Live bait is included, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
Don't leave home without sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and sunglasses. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
How often would you rather be fishing? Go on and turn that day dream into a reality, with Catch of the Day.
