Shekhinah Tours is proud to offer a variety of trips with their local captain, Captain Jorge. He has nearly 2 decades of fishing experience and will do everything he can to make sure you have a great day out with him.
You'll spend the day on a 25' center console, which has plenty of shade to keep your group of 6 comfortable. There's enough room to fish at either end of the boat, and a small bench to sit on that is perfect for any elderly anglers.
There's something to catch all year round. Blue Marlin is great from October to December and again from April to June. The delicious Mahi Mahi can be caught year round but is best to fish for from October to April. For Snapper, head over from June to September. Inshore species you can target include King Mackerel, which can be caught all year round.
The half day trips are close to shore and are great for first-time anglers and kids. There is no minimum age for kids and life vests are provided. The offshore trip will take you an hour from land, so are better suited for those that know they won't get seasick. If you wish to snorkel on your trip, talk to the captain before the day, and he'll get all the necessary equipment ready for you.
You'll want to bring a camera along, as well as plenty of sun protection and seasickness medication. If you decide to snorkel, don't forget your towel! It's best to wear light layers, as the temperature changes throughout the day. It's always good to have some extra cash on you – it's customary to tip the first mate after your trip.
Included in the price is the fishing equipment for the day and the live bait, which the captain will prepare for you before the trip begins. Your fishing license is also provided. There will be snacks and drinks on board during the half day trip, and a lunch and drinks on the full day trip.

Half Day Trip (AM) on April 15, 2019 • 5 adultsI visited Drakes Bay to do this Charter fishing trip. I arrived with my team of to shoot a fishing expedition for my YouTube Series. The boat was in very clean condition. The crew was very proactive and positive. The ocean conditions were rather rough, however our experienced captain got us there on the smoothest ride. We were At the right spot to catch fish, other boaters were in the exact same spot fishing. However we didn’t have much much with bites. We pulled up a Bonita Tuna and a trigger fish. We had a marlin on the line and we saw it jump out and everything, however I’m not so experienced with fishing this way so I didn’t land that marlin. However we saw monkeys, dolphins, tropical fish, gorgeous reefs, we ate lunch prepared by the crew in a jungle lagoon where we viewed monkeys and a very relaxing sanctuary. I would recommend this trip only if you have the patience to fish this way. It’s onky exciting when you have a fish on the line, which didn’t happen much out of the 5 hour trip, however that’s just how fishing goes. Your never guaranteed to catch anything. I’d highly recommend Alberto for organizing this together. He had a ride for us all the way from Puerto Jiminez. It was a pricey taxi ride there however we did travel 90 minutes through the jungle. Up an down mountains, through rivers and streams. It was an intense trip overall that i would do again for sure! -Chef Collin White @Collin_White
