Xama Adventures – Breede River 

Want to get back to nature and hook some incredible fish at the same time? With Xama Adventures, you'll spend up to 3 days meandering down one of South Africa's most famous rivers, in search of some incredible angling opportunities. Come aboard for the chance to get back into the wild!

Located just 3 hours from Cape Town, and within half an hour of Swellendam, Xama Adventures's Breede River trip lets guests experience a truly authentic African-style fishing safari. You'll be able to truly immerse yourself in your adventure as you indulge in a trifecta of angling opportunities. Head to Breede River to target freshwater Largemouth Bass and Brown Trout, discover what lies beneath the brackish estuary waters, and travel 30 km from your lodging camp for some ocean fishing!

You'll be joined on your trip by an experienced, local guide. As your adventure is all about enjoying the tranquility of Breede River, you'll be cruising these fishing grounds in a ARK inflatable canoe. Groups of up to 16 guests are welcome to come aboard – your guide will provide 8 vessels, with room for 2 anglers on each one. Children are welcome, so make this an adventure the whole family will remember, or escape the real world for a while with your best angling buddies.

When you're not fishing, you'll spend your time relaxing in a peaceful lodge that's located along the river. This accommodation is included in the price of your trip, and you'll be provided with 3 tasty meals per day. Your guide will make sure you're decked out with quality tackle, so just bring along your favorite rods and reels. You can test your fly fishing skills against the mighty Tigerfish, as well as Spadefish and Grunter, too – bring along your trusty gear and get ready to hook 'em.
