For the past 15 years, Captain Nick Hui has been a Professional Certified Tidal Angling Guide with more than 25,000 hours spent on the water. He loves sharing his extensive sportfishing knowledge with his clients.
His boat is a 2022, 28' Northwest Aluminum Craft vessel, spacious enough to take up to 5 anglers, out of which 2–3 can fish at the same time. It comes with twin 300 HP Mercury Sea Pro engines, a 15 HP Mercury Pro kicker motor, excellent safety gear and marine electronics, as well as downriggers, an enclosed toilet, a big fish box, and a big Igloo cooler for your food/drinks. The cabin is heated and comfy for maximum enjoyment on the water.
Captain Nick will take you fishing the world-renowned Swiftsure Bank, and you'll cover all the inshore to offshore hot spots. It usually takes an hour to reach the top offshore honey holes. Depending on the location and the bite, you'll have a chance to reel in an insane variety of Salmon, as well as Halibut, Lingcod, Black Seabass, and Rockfish.
Thanks to their long-standing cooperation with Gibbs Delta Tackle, you'll get to use the best gear that money can buy, maximizing your chances at landing a trophy. You'll be using Shimano rods and Islander and Avet Halibut reels. Lures and fish cleaning are also included in the price.
Feel free to bring your kids, provided that they're 14 or older (longer trips are not recommended for young children). Canadian customers can purchase fishing licenses online, and if you're coming from the US, it's best that you buy them from the local vendors in Canada in order to keep Halibut.

Wow, wow and wow. You are in luck if you land Captain Nick as your fishing guide. Too bad to the people that had to cancel for August 12-14 but thank you for the opening that enabled a magical trip for our family. First time salmon fishing for our daughter. She was a natural under Nick's coaching. We had a mother and daughter experience of Chinook on both rods with some fancy two stepping on the spacious deck with choreography by Nick. The birds and whales were a bonus. We would highly recommend Nick and Spring Roll fish charters to anyone. The Tripp-Preikshot family

Nick is such a great guide. We had so much fun. He made this trip amazing simply by the fact that he did not give up on catching the fish we came for. We caught our 8 halibut and limited out. He kept us interested and answered all our questions. There even came a time he had to help with reeling up the fish. He did all this in a friendly easy going way and kept us wanting more. We are booking our trip again with Nick. We would recommend him to everyone.

The timing for the trip was perfect, calm seas pretty much the whole day. Left early from the docks and hitting Swiftsure Bank in good time. Pulling into a spot, dropping our lines and within minutes a nice 35 pound Halibut lay on the deck of the Wonton!!! Within 45 minutes we had our limit in Halibut ranging from 30 to 50 pounds. Nick maneuvered the boat a couple hundred feet from the Halibut spot and we were trolling for Spring Salmon. After about an hour we had our limit in Spring Salmon ranging from 16 to 19 pounds each. We released many Springs in the 10 to 16 pound range... we had plenty of time and were catching plenty of Springs to be picky on the Springs we were taking home!!! The whole time we were fishing on the bank, in every direction you looked you could see Humpback Whales surfacing and feeding on the masses of Herring and Crill... It was a magnificent site to see even for a seasoned fisherman!!! When we got back to the San Juan Bay we checked the crab traps and almost had our limit in Dungenous Crab. Back at the docks Nick cleaned our fish and crabs and we took a few photos to end a Perfect Day!!! It was an awesome day on the water with Nick and the Wonton!!! Very Professional Captain and a very comfortable boat to travel and fish from!!! We will definitely take another Charter with Captain Nick Hui and the Wonton again!!!
