Make an adventure out of your next trip to Port Renfrew and go fishing with Marcus Kennett Fishing Charters. Your guide for the day is Captain Marcus, so you’ll benefit from years of local experience.
Species like Lingcod, Chinook Salmon, Crab, Rockfish, Chum Salmon, Pink Salmon, Coho Salmon, Sockeye Salmon, Halibut, and more can be found in these waters if you cast your line at the right time of year. You can expect to do some trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Kids are welcome, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. And, you can’t go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!
You’ll be casting lines from a 27’ Glacier Bay catamaran with room for 4 passengers. It comes with downriggers and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you, as well as lures.
Before coming aboard, you will be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect. It’s always wise to bring sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now, time to hit the water with Marcus Kennett Fishing Charters!

My wife and I try to fish with Marcus every year. He is very knowledgeable, friendly and has a great sense of humor. His customer service skills and fish finding abilities are 2nd to none. I fish from Baja to Alaska on a regular basis, but this is always the trip that I look most forward to. There has never been a trip that he hasn't gone above and beyond to make the trip memorable. He supplies tackle, knowledge, a beautifully maintained smooth riding catamaran and everything you need. Just pack a lunch.

Capt. Marcus runs trips out of Port Renfrew and Mill Bay aboard a 27’ Glacier Bay catamaran. These waters are known for Salmon and Halibut and he will show you how to catch them, whether you're trolling or bottom fishing. With great knowledge of the area, he has a trick or two up his sleeve, and the only way to learn is to join him out on the water!

On average we run up to 30 miles from the marina at Port renfrew to the fishing grounds, but only 10 miles from shore.

Cleaning and filleting fish for legal transportation is part of the charter. I do not charge extra for that.
Free cancellation up to 30 days prior to trip
You can cancel or modify your booking up to 30 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
Pickup not included
Transfer to/from departure site is not included in trip rates.
Child Friendly
I don't really have age limits for kids, but if we are fishing off shore, I would recommend that they are about ten years old and older. It is a long way to travel, and if they get seasick, it isn't a fun day for them.
