Sou'Wester Sportfishing provides full-day guided Salmon and Halibut fishing trips for both the novice and the experienced angler alike.

Based in Port Renfrew, your guide has close to 20 years of experience fishing the waters off the coast of Vancouver Island, and will take you safely to the fishing grounds and back aboard his Grady White Gulfstream 232 vessel.

Peak fishing times for large Chinook or 'King' Salmon are July and August, with the Coho or 'Silver' Salmon fishery coming later at the end of August and into September. Opportunities for the much coveted Pacific Halibut are best from May through July but are still possible as late as August although more challenging to find.

At Sou'Wester Sportfishing, Captain Adrian only uses the best quality tackle including Islander Reels for Salmon, providing you with the ultimate big-game catching experience with the highest chance of success.

Great guy; pleasant; knowledgeable. We caught 3 salmon within first hour in open ocean area. We caught a halibut before noon, but some other areas they weren't biting on way back to Port Renfrew. Finished with 5 male crabs he had traps set the day before. Top Notch, and will book with him again
