Jody was very informative and hand on. He taught us how to fish for trout. He was patient and fun!! Will return!! Absolutely recommend.

Capt. Jody worked hard to get on the fish, and is knowledgeable on how to land your limit.

Captain Jody was amazing and very patient with our group. He took us to great fishing spots ~ my son caught his first fish at sea, a 28.5” red drum! My dad also caught a 30” red drum! We all had the best time and highly recommend Captain Jody!

Big thanks to Capt-Jody; he got us on some spotted seatrout. Alex and I both caught a trout on our first cast, then it was nonstop. We ended up catching 58 trout and kept our first 6 in the slot. Great time.

Captain Jody was ALL IN for our bay fishing trip with me and my young sons. What was a challenging morning with the tide, weather and lack of bite, turned into a VERY productive afternoon! He never gave up and we kept moving until we started catching, and boy did we! Overall, Jody has a great disposition, is very knowledgeable and will get you on the fish. I have been on trips where the guide will simply tuck tail and give up, but Jody was persistent and pleasant at the same time. We are so thankful that he made our trip so memorable. We will be booking again with him again in the future.

We got off to a late start—totally our fault since we fished the night before and stayed out a bit too late. Capt. Jody was super understanding and didn’t mind us arriving a little later than planned. He even recommended a great spot for breakfast and helped us stock up on cold drinks and snacks for the trip. Finally, we got to fish Rockport! Capt. Jody took us to several prime spots, where a couple of us had a chance to wade, while others fished from the boat. By the end of the trip, we had an awesome catch of redfish and black drum. Capt. Jody truly knew where to find them, and we had a blast! Highly recommend him to anyone looking for a memorable fishing trip in Rockport!"

Jody Starr is an amazing captain. We caught over a dozen fish with most of them being keepers. His boat and fishing gear was in great condition and he made us feel comfortable the whole trip. But even more than being an amazing captain, he was an amazing friend and guide to my young daughters (age 7 and 12). He treated them like his own and made the trip memorable for them. They had a blast and can't wait to go again. He showed patience, care, and effort in helping them catch fish. Both caught a limit worth and I'm pretty sure him and my youngest daughter are good buddies now. I truly appreciate his efforts and amazing attitude helping make this family fishing trip a success. It was a tough day on the water but did the best we could. Captain used live & dead shrimp and was always there to bait and cast for those who needed it on the boat. Caught 8 black drum and 1 red and countless undersized fish when other boats/charters were struggling for the day. We changed spots often in pursuit of feeding fish. Captain was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive to our needs.

Captain Jody was not only very professional but very easy to get along with. Quick with the net and determined to fill the box. Nobody can control foul weather but Captain Jody made the absolute best of a mediocre situation and filled our limit of trout.

Capt. Starr was amazing with our boys. Despite the white caps in the bay Mr. Starr put us on fish and kept us safe and comfortable. Awesome trip.
