Capt. Michael welcomes you aboard his 20’ Everglades. This flats boat accommodates up to 4 guests and there’s enough room for everybody to fish at the same time. She’s powered by a 150 HP Honda engine and can reach the best fishing spots in no time. The boat is specifically built for mangroves and backwaters, which will be your main fishing grounds.
Your main targets will be Snook, Spotted Seatrout, Redfish, Snapper, Sheepshead, and Black Drum. The amount of fish can vary depending on the time of the year but all species are available year round in general. When it comes to fishing techniques you’ll be using, Capt. Michael prefers light tackle because he loves the challenge and it also gives the fish a fair fighting chance.
Capt. Michael will prepare your fishing equipment, live bait, lures, and water. There’s a cooler with ice, which you can fill up with your snacks and any other drinks you prefer. After the trip, the captain will clean and fillet your catch at no extra charge.
These trips are family friendly, so children of ages 5 and above are welcome. It doesn’t matter if anyone from your group is a beginner – with Capt. Michael by their side, they’ll pick up the basics easily and hold their rod with confidence.
