The Hydra Sport also comes with state-of-the-art electronics by Garmin, a comfortable bean bag and bench seating, and a T-top for shade and comfort. Most importantly, she has all the necessary safety gear to ensure a secure ride and allow kids of all ages to join in on the fun.
Capt. Doug is a USCG licensed captain and understands your time on the water is valuable, which is why he works hard to maximize your fishing time and put you on fish as quick as possible. Beginners will stay nearshore to target Spanish Mackerel, Seabass, and Shark, while those with more experience will troll for Mahi, Barracuda, Kingfish, Sailfish, and Amberjack. Capt. Doug also loves to take his customers bottom fishing for delicious meaty species such as Grouper and Snapper.
His Gulf Stream trips are reserved for the most hardcore anglers. Here you'll be duking it out against various Tuna species, Marlin, Wahoo, and many other offshore pelagics.
You'll have Okuma, Penn, and Shimano gear available and live bait will also be caught and used during your trip. Your fishing license is already covered, and Capt. Doug will also offer to fillet your catch for you.

Captain Doug was able to get us fishing at the last minute due to a medical issue that cancelled our previous charter. Great communication prior to the trip and put us on the fish we were wanting to catch. After catching too much bait (lol), we had to dodge a thunderstorm and a waterspout, but it was obvious our safety and comfort was his priority. The banter on the boat was awesome and before we knew it, unfortunately it was time to head in. Captain Doug cleaned our catch without question and even gave some cooking tips. Would highly recommend Captain Doug and Salty Fin Charters and can't to go again.

Thanks Bill for the positive review! Had a GREAT time fishing with you all!! See you next time. Tight lines
We had bad storms the night before along with early am! We left the dock on time but some pop up storms started building! Lots of lighting and rain. Caption got us to shelter just in time! We never got wet from the rain etc. he encouraged us to wait it out we did. 2 hrs later we were catching fish awesome! Wasn’t on fire but for what Mother Nature just put us through we could not complain. Caption was more concerned about our safety but still wanted to catch fish as bad as us! Great experience Great caption recommend him 100% we will be back for redemption Thanks again!!!

Thanks Mike - had a great time in the water with y’all!! Look forward to next time
This was the first time that 2 out of 3 of us went deep sea fishing and enjoyed it 100%. The fish were slow biting but Captain Doug got a us on a nice spot and we found them.

I had a Great time fishing with you and your family!! Thanks
My teenage son and I took our first offshore fishing trip with Capt. Doug and first mate Dave and had an awesome day! They are both experienced, helpful, encouraging, informative, friendly, and fun. They knew where to find the fish. We caught or reeled in mahi mahi, king mackerel, cobia, and barracuda. We also learned how challenging it is to reel in two, stubborn, 7-8 ft. sharks. Thanks again Capt. Doug and Dave for an amazing adventure! We hope to be able to fish with Salty Fin Charters again!!

Thanks Christina for the positive review!! We had a great time fishing with you and Brandon! Can’t wait until next time!!
I wish I had the time to write the entire story but just know that they were kind and courteous of everyone that we had on board and we caught a bunch of big fish and that’s all that we were meant to do. Would recommend 10 times over and we will be back again. See you all soon, tight lines. Photos attached. Heavy suggestion if you haven’t been in the sun or in a boat that is in the ocean be sure to take Dramamine

Thank you for The positive review- had a GREAT TIME making some memories of a lifetime!! See you soon
