Based out of Sodwana Bay, La Bleu Marlin will take you from the stunning confines of the national park to the equally impressive deep waters. Expect plenty of Marlin fishing, as you go after a range of incredible big game fish in the depths of the Indian Ocean.
It's no mean feat to land these tough-fighting monsters, so you'll need an experienced guide. Captain Wouter Vermeulen is just that guy. He moved to Sodwana Bay in 2016, bringing with him a thirst for big game fish. He promises to get you to the sweetest fishing spots, reeling in the biggest fish around.
Up to 7 guests are welcome aboard the 28' Novacat 270 offshore sportfishing boat. Make yourselves at home with plenty of space on the deck and seating in the convertible flybridge. Capt. Wouter will even provide lunch and drinks, so settle in for the full experience.
Boasting tuna tubes, downriggers, and outriggers, this is a boat that means business. Troll with live bait and a range of lures and get ready for the bite. When you hear the reels kick into action, you'll leap up, grab the rod, and settle into the fighting chair to give yourself the best chance of landing the catch of your dreams.
You'll need all the help you can get when battling it out against these fish. Black, Striped, and Blue Marlin rub shoulders with Bluefin Tuna, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Kingfish, Barracuda, Spearfish, Sailfish, and many more majestic creatures, who'll do anything to get off the end of your line. Use all your strength to keep them hooked and try not to get distracted by the leaping Marlin!
Everything you need for a productive day is waiting on board. Capt. Wouter will even pick you up within a 5 km radius, just let him know where you're staying. At the end of the day, he'll also clean and fillet your catch. Get ready to fill the boat and make the most of these delicious creatures! Not knowing what to expect is always exciting. The little uncomfortable feeling is soon driven back by the assuring captain Wouter. He brought his pal to come help him. After embarking we swiftly went to about 2km offshore and crisscrossed the ocean. In and out. Just when laziness started to affect our upper eyelids, at about 10:00, we had the first bite! With Wouter's professional help the fish was quickly brought on board and stored in the boat. About an hour later, the same thing happened! About noon the big rods came out. This time we had a big Marlin on the line. It jumped a number of times! After struggling for an hour, it surfaced and we could let it go. What a nice mix between relaxing and adrenaline!
Had a great day out with Wouter and caught a massive blue marlin. Thanks to Wouter it was an amazing experience.

But it's not just that, there's also plenty of thrills to be had. Capt. Wouter fished in tournaments for 10 years or so, and knows exactly what it takes to go after the biggest fish in the ocean.

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 7 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
