Johnny Maddox (Papa 2) 

caught 12+ yellowtail, a triggerfish, 2 suckerfish and 3 grunts (blue and yellow). Some where thrown back due to size or species. had to sit at the fueldock for a bit, but was madeup at end of trip with extra time. Saving them for next years trip to the keys, hope they can accomodate more people gishing, as more than 3 will be fishing. Fished about 5 miles out, on the reef, not much current, but did catch lunch and dinner for the three of us, with 18 yellowtail fillets and 2 triggerfish filets.

It was a perfect morning on the water! Nice ride out to the Atlantic and in minutes we were catching fish. It didn’t take long until we met our limits for yellow tail, in addition to catching mackerel and a rainbow runner. Brian and Cody were awesome! Thanks for the great trip.

This was ineof the best fishing trips we’ve been on. Caught fish from the time we got there until it was time to keave. We caught our limit before out alotted time was up. Can’t say enough for captain and first mate, they were some if the best! Thank you so much, we had a blast.

We went with Captain Johnny Maddox on a snapper trip and he did not disappoint. Johnny put us on a great catch of fish on a day that wasn't the easiest to fish. We came in with a basket full of snapper when other charters were only bringing in 5-6 fish. I recommend anyone that wants to have a great time catching fish to use Johnny Maddox charters.

Alex was a great fishing guide. He was friendly, humorous and very knowledgeable. He took us to some great spots and even kept us dry as a storm approached. This Indiana crew had a great time and went away with some cherished memories and some great tasting fish.

Our grandchildren enjoyed their fishing experience tremendously. We caught several sea trout and mangrove snappers and even a bonnet shark and puffer fish. Alex was very knowledgeable.

Captain Alex was a great guide. He taught us the techniques needed to catch snapper and made it fun. We highly recommend this fishing charter service.

Awesome experience. Met Captains Johnny Ray at the dock and we set off. We fished the gulf side, about 11 miles out. We got to the honey hole and never left. Lost count of how many fish we caught. We brought home a pile of Yellowtail and Porgy, delicious!!! Caught a wide variety of fish: Yellowtail snapper Porgy Puffer fish Mangrove snapper Grouper Grunts Hound fish Hooked onto a Goliath Grouper and a couple mackerel that we lost, almost hooked a shark but it’s bite missed the hook by a few inches. Captain Ray is a cool dude and is really friendly. He introduced us to long-lining which was really fun. I’ll definitely book another trip when I return to the Keys.
