Fun In The Sun Charters is based in Marathon, FL. Trips are available year-round and with fishing, sandbar excursions, reef fishing, wrecks, and eco-tours the adventures never stop. Captain Craig has 22 years of experience and he welcomes anglers of all skill levels. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned angler, there’s a spot for you on his boat. All trips are family-friendly as well, so you can bring your whole family along.
You’ll be fishing on a 25’ Pro Kat that accommodates up to 6 guests. This catamaran was restored in 2022 and features twin 115 HP Yamaha engines. Reaching the maximum speed of 24 knots, this boat will take you to your fishing spot with ease. There are also modern navigational electronics, a live bait tank, tuna tubes, outriggers, and downriggers.
For sandbar excursions, we provide chairs and umbrellas for you to enjoy!
Depending on how long you want to stay on the water and how far off the coast you want to go, choose between 4, 6, and 8-hour trips. You can target Kingfish, Snapper, different types of Grouper and Sharks, Redfish, Mahi Mahi, and Hogfish. We also offer sandbar and eco excursions for our customers at local sandbars and at our famous Sombrero Lighthouse and Reef.
All fishing equipment, as well as your licenses, are included in the price. You also get to keep the fish that you caught and the crew will clean it for you free of charge. Just pack some food, drinks, and sun protection for the day and you’re ready to go.
We partner with 7-Mile Grill which offers "boxed lunches" for our customers for $13.00.
Fun In The Sun Charters has trips suitable for every type of angler as well as sandbar trips, reef trips, real estate viewing tours, eco-tours, and fabulous sunset cruises!

Great for Kids & Adults!
Captains Craig and Sean did a stellar job. They were knowledgeable, professional, kind and most of all, patient with the kids. They took the time to teach and explain while ensuring the boys caught as many different kinds of fish possible. Excellent communication leading up to the event as well. Would definitely return.

6hr trip with Captain Craig
Well went fishing on 4/12 and skies didnt look promising. Captain Craig called and said it was probably better to leave around 9A.M. instead of 7. Good call capt. As soon as Donnie the mate set the anchor the fish were biting like crazy. After 6 hrs of fishing we brought back 26 different species of fish. We had a great day 9n the water. Thank you Capt.Craig for a great experience fishing with my son and his friend. We will be using Fun In The Sun charters the next time we are here

Fantastic!
Captain Craig and his deckhand, Donnie were terrific! Very knowledgeable, professional, and safety-conscious. We had a great time and although my partner is an experienced fisherman I am not. This was only my third time out on a charter and even though I personally have very little experience fishing, they made me feel comfortable and put me on fish right away! Captain Craig and Donnie helped me with the different fishing techniques and even baited my hook! (I didn't expect this but really appreciated it!) We were fortunate to catch plenty of fish and several types. Thank you, Captain Craig and Donnie! We are already planning our next trip!
