Fun In The Sun Charters is based in Marathon, FL. Trips are available year-round and with fishing, sandbar excursions, reef fishing, wrecks, and eco-tours the adventures never stop. Captain Craig has 22 years of experience and he welcomes anglers of all skill levels. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned angler, there's a spot for you on his boat. All trips are family-friendly as well, so you can bring your whole family along.
You'll be fishing on a 25' Pro Kat that accommodates up to 6 guests. This catamaran was restored in 2022 and features twin 115 HP Yamaha engines. Reaching the maximum speed of 24 knots, this boat will take you to your fishing spot with ease. There are also modern navigational electronics, a live bait tank, tuna tubes, outriggers, and downriggers.
For sandbar excursions, we provide chairs and umbrellas for you to enjoy!
Depending on how long you want to stay on the water and how far off the coast you want to go, choose between 4, 6, and 8-hour trips. You can target Kingfish, Snapper, different types of Grouper and Sharks, Redfish, Mahi Mahi, and Hogfish. We also offer sandbar and eco excursions for our customers at local sandbars and at our famous Sombrero Lighthouse and Reef.
All fishing equipment, as well as your licenses, are included in the price. You also get to keep the fish that you caught and the crew will clean it for you free of charge. Just pack some food, drinks, and sun protection for the day and you're ready to go.
We partner with 7-Mile Grill which offers 'boxed lunches' for our customers for $13.00.

Limited out on mangrove snapper, caught a few other fish like drum, grunts, barracuda and shark. Captain knew where the fish were at and put right on top of them. Will be calling them again if I ever get back to the Marathon.

Captain Craig and Shawn were great! We had such a wonderful time and although the fish were being a little stubborn the first couple of hours, they kept taking us to different spots until we started catching some. These guys went above and beyond to make sure we had a great day on the water. I would not hesitate to recommend them. Thanks for a great day!!!

captain Craig was very upfront and honest with us on the best fishing available. we wanted to fish Mahi but the bite was not on and he did not want us to waste money on a boat ride with no fish. big thanks to captain Craig for a great day on the water.

Captains Craig and Sean did a stellar job. They were knowledgeable, professional, kind and most of all, patient with the kids. They took the time to teach and explain while ensuring the boys caught as many different kinds of fish possible. Excellent communication leading up to the event as well. Would definitely return.

How cancellations work
You can cancel or modify your booking up to 3 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
