Bob Marlin Charters- The Bob Marlin
Aloha and welcome aboard the Bob Marlin out of Haleiwa, Hawaii on the North Shore of Oahu. My name is Captain Kevin and I have been fishing out of Haleiwa for almost 20 years.
Our target species are Mahi Mahi, Yellowfin Tuna, Skipjack Tuna, Wahoo, Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, and more – with any luck, you'll have tight lines in no time. Our most productive way of fishing out of North Shore is by trolling artificial lures. Most days we will try to catch live bait to use as well.
On half-day trips, clients keep 25 lb of fish, and on full-day trips, 50 lb of fish. We will clean your catch so you can enjoy it later.
My boat is a 33' Luhrs express cruiser with space for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, and everything you need for a productive day on the water, plus a toilet on board. There's plenty of seating protected from the sun, a big bow, and a large open deck for standing/moving around. The sculpted lines, Carolina flare, and gently rising sheer are more than just a stylish custom look – they all contribute to the boat's exceptional blue water handling and a comfortable, dry ride. A side console, a standard easy-access tower, and fantastic visibility from all points make this boat ideal for whatever your needs.
The Bob Marlin is extremely clean, with tons of upgrades and new equipment. I will supply rods and reels for you, all tackle, ice and a cooler. Kids are welcome aboard, and the charter has child-sized life vest available. Also, remember to bring drinks and snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly. You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Captains and mates often work for tips, and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip. Your fishing license for the day is not covered by the boat, so you will need to purchase a one day pass from the state!
We can't wait to see you on board! Aloha

We went on a half day morning trip. The crew was great. They worked hard to get us on some nice fish. We took home a nice Ono and had a good fight with a big shark. We had a blast. Good luck in AK!

The crew were cool guys and easy to get along with. They started out by catching baitfish and were lucky enough to get about a dozen. It was was easy riding for the most part getting out to the ledge (about 15-30 miles from shore). However, the pitch and roll of the sea at 8 knots was something pretty new to me and eventually got to me a little bit. But not before they helped me catch a Mahi Mahi! Be sure to set expectations on how you’re able to handle the ride and how much fish you’ll catch, and you’ll end up making a great trip with these fellas!
Mahalo for joining us Ethan! We were stoked to get you guys out on your first deep sea fishing trip and even more stoked to get you on your first mahi mahi. Hopefully next time we will be able to get the full day of fishing in. Mahalo again for joining us on your vacation. Aloha

Awesome experience. First time deep sea fishing and I could have asked for a better crew and boat to get us introduced to the sport. Weather was great. Crew was the best. They did everything possible to assist in us getting a couple bites today. Extremely friendly and professional. I would highly recommend Bob Marlon Charters. Kevin and G were great and very friendly. Awesome with our boys and super fun to be around.
Mahalo Monty! What a great day of fishing. Thanks for trusting and joining us!
Had a great time, crew worked hard to put us on fish and we caught two mahi mahi, a blue marlin and a few small tuna! Missed out on the ono but had a chance at one. Weather was nice and it was a blast.
These guys are awesome. They really put in the time to put on fish. They were great guys and they really cared about us having a successful trip. There are a lot of companies to choose from but we will never use any one else. Book with confidence. We didn't catch a ton of fish but we caught more than all of the other charters the day we went.
