Hott Pursuit Charters, LLC
Welcome to Hott Pursuit Charters where fishing isn't just fun, it's a passion. Captain Chris has over 30 years of fishing experience in northeast Florida and would like to share that knowledge with his guests. New to fishing? No problem, Captain Chris and crew are more than happy to teach kids and adults alike how to fish. Experienced fisherman? Cool, let's take that blue water trip you've been planning.
Chris's vessel is a 25' Grady White center console powered by twin Yamaha F150 outboards. It is equipped with the latest electronics to include 2 GPS units, 2 bottom sounders, radar, VHF radio, and a stereo. Safety equipment includes; Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon, VHF Radio with GPS Distress Locator, lifejackets, and all required U.S. Coast Guard safety equipment.
On the nearshore waters, the catches are seasonal and include Grouper, Red Fish, Red Snapper, Black Sea Bass, as well as both King and Spanish Mackerel. For the experienced anglers going offshore, you'll be targeting the big hitters such as Tuna, Sailfish, Wahoo, and Mahi Mahi.
He'll supply all fishing equipment, fishing licenses, safety equipment, lifejackets, bait and tackle. If you wish to use your own fishing gear please let Chris know the details as rod storage is limited. He will also supply plenty of water. If you wish to bring alcohol moderate consumption is okay, but please drink responsibly. He wants to retrieve fish from the water not guests.
You should bring food (lunch) and snacks for the cooler if you want to eat, and drinks if you want something other than water. Waterproof sunblock, sunglasses, and a hat are very important. Please pack up to 1 or 2 duffle bags per group, as storage on the vessel is minimum. Bring a cooler to leave in your vehicle so you can take your catch home, he'll supply the ice. So, whether you're after some lighthearted inshore fishing or to catch a prize fish in the deep, Chris is the man with the experience and know-how to take you out.

I just got back from an excellent fishing charter with Captain Chris, and I’m giving him a full 5 stars! Even though the weather was a little rough and the fish were slow to start, Captain Chris stayed patient, positive, and incredibly skilled the entire time. He made smart adjustments to our drift and locations, and by the end of the day we had a fantastic bite and put a bunch of solid fish in the fishbox. Chris is a pro who clearly knows his waters inside and out. He kept the boat safe and comfortable despite the conditions, gave great advice on technique, and made sure everyone had an enjoyable experience. The gear was top-notch, the boat was clean and well-equipped, and his upbeat attitude kept the energy high even when things were slow at first. If you’re thinking about booking a charter, don’t hesitate to go with Captain Chris. He turned what could have been a tough day into a really successful and fun trip. I’ll definitely be fishing with him again next time I’m in town. Highly recommended! 🎣
Thank you John, you and your crew were awesome fun to fish with. Looking forward to the next trip with you guys.
Captain Chris was great from start to finish. He knew exactly where to go to catch bait and then head out to catch some big ones. We caught a couple king mackerel as soon as the bait hit the water. We had a few more on, but were robbed by sharks. Had fun reeling in a bonito towards the end of our day. Captain Chris made sure we had fish cut and ready to cook - recipes included. We’ll definitely be back in a few months- hoping to reel in some mahi-mahi.
Thank you David, had a great time fishing with you guys. Looking forward to that Mahi trip in the fall !!
Had a great day out with Capt. Chris. He was very knowledgeable and had really nice equipment. I booked this trip hoping to troll for dolphin, but we weren’t able to do that due to sea conditions and water temperature. Chris had backup plans and executed them very well, ensuring we still took home plenty of fish. We were still able to scratch out a limit of beeliners and nearly a limit of sea bass. I’ve been on many charter trips over the years, and there are captains I would not book again, and then there are some really good ones that I absolutely would. Capt. Chris is definitely one I’ll be going with again in the future. This guy knows his stuff!
Thank you Kraig, it was a pleasure having you guys on the boat.

I took my son on a fishing trip to cath the bigger type fish he landed the first king of the season as they had just started running and the other type as I forgot the name. we landed about 6 all day and had 3 on at one time and some sand sharks and the last shark was about 200 lbs got to fight him for about 15 minutes before got of just type as looking to fish would done better but the wheather started getting bad and could not go fetter for safety will be back to go out with him again as it was great .
Thanks Robert looking forward to fishing with you guys again.
Captiam Chris was kind, courteous, and peofessional. He helped me and my girlfriend have the best experience possible by showing us how to be successful, even at a beginner level. we caught several Redrum fish between 21” and 26” long and also caught several other kinds of smaller fish. Captain Chris cleaned and cut our fish for us at the end and we took it to thr Palm Reataurant down the street and they cooked it for us for lunch! I highly recommend this charter to anyone who wants to have a good time catching some quality fish!
Thank you Michael, you guys did an awesome job catching some really nice fish !!
