Ucluelet, BC, where the charter is based, has an abundance of bait, such as squid, herring, and anchovies, which creates terrific conditions for the Salmon and bottom fish population. You'll be able to catch Chinook, Coho, Pink, and Sockeye Salmon by trolling, or go jigging for Lingcod and Halibut.
A proven West Coast design, the captain's 23' Boston Whaler Conquest provides a comfortable ride for everyone on board. The boat has a high gunnel, which is perfect for offshore trolling or cruising among the islets of Barkley Sound. She's fully equipped with navigation and safety gear, as well as an onboard toilet. The boat accommodates up to 3 guests.
Kids of all ages are welcome on half-day trips since you'll stay along the coastline. For full-day trips, they need to be at least 10 years old, since the trips are longer and you'll go up to 20 miles offshore.
Your fishing equipment, lures, and bait are included in the price. If you want to keep the catch, the captain will clean it after the trip for no extra charge. You only need to purchase your fishing license and bring snacks and drinks for the day.

Captain Brent was a excellent fishing guide. He new where to go, and how to catch each species we were targeting. Brent gave great instructions on how to use the his gear and catch lots of fish!

Despite the less-than-ideal weather, we still managed to land 10 great catches thanks to the captain's experience and guidance. He really knows his stuff and showed us some excellent fishing techniques throughout the trip. Highly recommend this charter if you're looking for a knowledgeable and professional crew who can still deliver a great day of fishing in tough conditions!
A phenomenal day of fishing with Brent. He was honest before we set off about the wind making things rough out in the open ocean and what opportunities might be out of bounds, but despite this we still pulled up a limit of coho and I even got to pull in a chinook, definitely a fish to remember! Unfortunately my sea legs were not under me and Brent was very accommodating finding calmer waters where we could fish and not be so churned up by the water. The gear was high quality, I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone looking to make their Vancouver Island fishing dreams come true. Thanks Brent!

Captain Brent worked very hard to ensure that all three of us caught our limit of salmon. The water was also very rough so he balanced catching salmon with each of us not getting sea-sick so we could still enjoy the day. On the second day Brent selected calmer waters and we still did well catching salmon. Overall a great couple of days on the ocean fishing.
