Additionally, the rich local fishery of Cocoa Beach, Florida, allows you to target a whole list of species depending on your preference and skill level.
The charter’s great position puts it only a short drive from some of the most popular tourist destinations in Florida. Whether you’re visiting Orlando, Merritt Island, Kennedy Space Center, Daytona, Kissimmee, Disney, or Universal Studios, you’ll always be close enough to run away from the cities and enjoy a relaxing time on the water with Fin & Fly Charters.
The boat you’ll be fishing from is a 32’ Stuart Angler, powered by a 370 HP Cummins engine. Equipped with all the necessary safety equipment, onboard electronics for navigation, communication, and fish finding, the vessel will provide you and your group with all the tools you’ll need to ensure you have a safe and memorable trip.
If kids are joining in on the trip, the charter asks that the captain is consulted to make sure that the trips are suitable for kids of that age. All guests will be provided with appropriate-sized life vests. Additionally, everyone will be equipped with world-class Shimano rods and reels, and you’ll have access to both live bait and artificial lures. Live bait will be caught at the beginning of the trip, on your way to the fishing grounds.
Fishing licenses are also covered by the charter so the only things you should pack are food, drinks, sunscreen, and sunglasses. Tips are not included in the price and suggested gratuity for the captain is 15-20%.

9 Hour Trip – Deep Sea
Good bottom fishing
We had a full day trip and tried some trolling first, but the action for all boats in the area was slow and so Captain Jon started moving us to some bottom fishing sites. We tried a few without success (except 3 Silkys hanging around the boat) before heading further out and then found the spot that we stayed at the rest of the day and pulled in and released some nice red snappers and a grouper. The boat (Game Changer) was nice, the equipment was solid, and Captain Jon worked tirelessly to get us on some fish. Not much more you can ask for than that! Would definitely recommend.

Incredible day with Jersey John!
WOW - what a great day! We had a fantastic time with “Jersey John”, had great weather and caught a lot of incredible fish! John was patient with all three of us (ages 16, 50 and 70), was a great conversationalist, and KNEW HIS STUFF! He was also checking with other boats to see what conditions were and wanted to make sure it wasnt too choppy where we were going. Essily our best excursion we’ve had and we will be coming back when we are in town!

5 Hour Trip – Deep Sea (AM)
Great experience!
Did a 5 hour 7a trip and it was great. Caught 3 barracudas and one small shark. Captain was great and my son had a great time. Do bring something for seasickness though. We had both been on the water numerous times with no problems but it was windy and choppy and both of us got sick towards the end. The captain was wonderful about it all and did everything he could to make sure we had a great time! Definitely recommend!

We caught shark on a shark fishing trip!
Captain John was great! Taught us a lot about the tackle and was knowledgeable on all the different species. He took us to the spot where we started catching bait fish right away. Then we hooked two decent size sharks and got them in. Two others got away because they didn’t get hooked. All in all, we were catching fish almost the entire time we were fishing

Best day ever!
Captain John was gracious, knowledgeable, fun. He worked tirelessly to keep the hooks baited. We caught our limit and he cleaned them up beautifully for us. It was hot and humid and we didn’t even notice we were having so much fun. We will definitely use Finn and Fly again and Captain John is our guy. Thanks for a great day.
