Departure times are flexible and include early morning, mid-afternoon, or the most popular of the bunch – sunset.
Our 3 hour Seafari is ideally suited for family, friends, colleagues, engagements, spreading of ashes, team building, celebrations, light tackle/junior fishing, and marine photography). Cruise speed between 6 and 16 knots depending on sea conditions and your preference at the time.
On all our 'seafaris' we encounter all sorts of marine life. Catching fish along our amazing coastline is a visual treat. Whales, Dolphins, Sun Fish, Cape Fur Seals, Penguins, and many pelagic birds will often be sighted. Our Light Tackle Seafari is based on great fishing and tackle that is always in perfect condition for you to enjoy. We are proud to be one of the larger and best-kept charter boats available. Hout Bay has incredible scenery, you can relax and enjoy your time at sea. This Seafari is perfect for juniors to catch their first fish.
Your Light Tackle Seafari will include amazing scenery, fresh air, good company, a friendly deckhand, and grumpy skipper, use our superb vessel, fuel, Ice, drinking water, and glasses. If we can assist you with any special request, we will gladly help where we can. Optional Barbeque available.
You should bring a warm jacket, hat, sunscreen, your choice of music (played through Bluetooth speakers), a camera, drinks of your choice, and snacks.
Be sure to ask Captain James about our optional extras. Extended time rates are available by request.

Kids had the best time
We had a great time out at sea and saw a Whale and caught lots of great tasting fish. The Captain and crew were very helpful and great with caring about the ocean and it's creatures and not overfishing or damaging the wildlife. Would definitely recommend and especially for children.

What a day out!
This was exactly what we were looking for, father and son day out with friends. Met our expectation in every sense, firstly professional to a tee, exactly the right balance of engagement with us. Great and appropriate focus on safety, the day wasn't rushed or in a hurry at all, stopped to engage with a dolphin pod (amazing) and watch some INSANE surfing up close! Would absolutely recommend this team - they know what they are doing

Don't leave SA without spending a day with Captain James
We had a great day. Captain James and his crew couldn’t do enough for us. We hired his boat for 4 hours to deep sea fish. Not only did we catch plenty of fish but Captain James also showed us the coast line and sea life. He is very knowledgeable and obviously cares for the environment which is so good to see. He also arranged for a local restaurant to cook some of the fish we caught. We had the best time and will remember this day forever. I’d highly recommend this trip and will definitely return.

A great half day out
We are a three generation family from grandparent, parents and two children. The Captain was very attentive and assisted by two teenage crew. They made sure we were comfortable and safe. I was the only one to have fished before. They were very patient and supplied us with good light tackle. The father and two boys caught their first fish - great excitement! I also caught 5 fish The crew prepared the fish and we all had them for supper. A great day out for all of us and we will return next yeat
