Test your bottom fishing skills along the nearshore reefs and around the islands, or deep drop in the open oceans. Troll to entice the bite of monster fish, or even try snorkeling to experience the aquatic world from underneath the surface so nobody misses out!
Come aboard for as little as 4 hours or as much as 8, and discover the rich fishing grounds up to 60 miles offshore. Tasty bottom-dwellers like Snappers and Groupers will make for a delicious dinner, while Sailfish and Tuna make up the big game fishing prizes. 12 Spanish mackerel!
Full Day Taboga/20 Fathom Trench on January 13, 2025 • 2 adults
We did an 8-hour fishing trip with Captain Lazaro and first mate Mike. The morning was quite slow unfortunately and we did not catch anything. We moved on to another area in the early afternoon where we ended up catching 12 mackerel! We were hoping to catch some more variety but you can't always control that. Captain Lazaro and Mike were very friendly and worked really hard to get us those fish (Mike even fileted one of them on the boat for us to take back to our resort!). The scenery was beautiful and we passed by many beautiful islands. It was really cool to see all the big ships going in and out of the Panama canal. We highly recommend going with this fishing charter. Thanks so much Captain Lazaro and Mike!! :)

Amazing Day Fishing

We picked sunshine charters in Panama to take us fishing Feb 11, 2025. Captain Lazaro and his mate Mike were extremely efficient and knowledgeable fisherman. As soon as we dropped lines, we started to catch fish. We were 6 anglers and everyone caught plenty of fish (Spanish Mackerel, rock fish, snappers, and even a large jack). They are pleasant and patient and they even stayed out a bit longer for us to keep catching more fish. Mike fileted the fish for us and we go a taste of fresh fish right on the boat. We brought back about 10-15lbs of fish. What an amazing day :)

When I initially booked my charter with Sunrise we were extremely excited until I realized we booked a boat over 2 hours away... Captain Andres immediately addressed the concerns and had a set up with a sister charter boat just five minutes aways from our resort... It saved us a lot of money and time! We hit the wat at 10:30 am. The dolphin swan next to the boat t, the captain found the dirds and we found some fish!!! What a great experience. Thanks for everyone in Panama that made this work for us!!!

Great day on the Ocean

They totally took care of us and made it a great trip out on the ocean. They did all the setup for the fishing rods and made sure we all set. They took us through some beautiful areas in Panama Bay and finally to Taboga Island for a swim to cool down before we returned. All and all it was a very enjoyable day. Would definitely recommend to others.

The crew is timely and prepared for our trip. We took the boat out towards the petroleum storage facility and Fish along the Rocky Banks. We caught quite a few needle fish as well as a Jack, but we threw all back into the ocean as they were either not edible or a bit too fishy apparently. Crew was very accommodating in terms of providing snacks and beverages as well as asking us what type of music we wanted to listen to. I would highly recommend them again.
