Pearl Islands Charter Company – 31' Bertram
If you're ready to get hooked on fishing in Panama City, book a trip with Pearl Islands Charter Company. We're sailing from a private marina.
Local species include Amberjack, Pacific Barracuda, Bonito, Mahi Mahi, Broomtail Grouper, Almaco Jack, Jack Crevalle, Roosterfish, Sailfish, Sierra Mackerel, Cubera Snapper, and more with any luck.
You can expect to do some spinning, popping, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Any fish within the legal limit are yours to take with you. Plus, you can have your catch cleaned.
Your next meal doesn't get any fresher than that!
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Snacks are also a good idea so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
Your fishing machine for the day is a 31' Bertram 31 sportfishing vessel with room for 7 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, and everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. The captain has rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask him whether you'll be catching it yourself. The boat is equipped with satellite phone and lifejackets, so you're all set!
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing!
Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
You can't go wrong when you bring sunscreen (non-spray) and sunglasses. Cold water will be available on board, feel free to bring with you any beverages and food of your choice. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Tight lines!

I booked two days with Pearl Island Charters, and was not disappointed. Captain Ronaldo and our mate Marquez took great care of us, stayed focused, and were great with the whole family. Over the two days we caught two sailfish (60+ and 7-+kg), two Mahi, several Bonito, and a Jack Crevalle. The boat was very nice and nicely equipped, and every fish that hooked up we got to the boat. Not only was I able to cross a bucket list fish off my list, the crew made sure that my kids got in on the action and were patient and encouraging with them as they struggled to bring in powerful fish. This was a great couple of trips and i strongly recommend booking with them!

Joe, the fish made us work hard to find them, but we insisted, persisted and never desisted! and it paid off... thank you for choosing us... tight lines sir!

Capt. Rolondo was great to work with. He put s on many varieties of fish from snapper to tuna. After we caught dinner he put us on large jack for the fight! My wife and son both had a great time.

Great day in the water! hope you can make it here during Rainy Season! tight lines!

thanks Joshua!
