Spend a day fishing with Danny Boy Fishing Charters! Captain Duane has made it a priority to teach fishing to kids and adults alike to introduce them to the fun and exciting sport of fishing. Through a network of like-minded fishermen, Duane is always up to date on the locations and the tactics to put fish in the boat.

Your journey starts on a 34' Baha boat. This catamaran welcomes up to 6 guests who can fish at the same time. The boat is powered by twin 450 HP Mercruiser engines, which can take you fast to any fishing spot you need. Comfort is a huge advantage of this boat, as she features a private bathroom, a galley, a lounge area, and a flybridge.

When it comes to fishing in Saginaw Bay, it all comes down to one main trophy - Walleye! The best way to catch this fish is by trolling, so the boat is equipped with several outriggers and downriggers. The captain prefers to use artificial lures but, at occasions, he'll also use worms and prepare them before the trip starts.

You'll be provided with Shakespeare and Okuma fishing gear, which is included in the price. Capt. Duane will prepare bottled water and some snacks but feel free to bring some of your choice. Since you get to keep the catch, it's recommended to bring cooler for your catch.

Wondetful day on the water thanks to Great & Knowledgeable Crew

Captain Duane and first mate Mike created a great and memorable day for us. After meeting us the gate we were quickly on the boat and on our way. Before long there were multiple lines in the water and not long after that there were fish in the box. Both Duane and Mike were very knowledgeable about the area and the fish. We cannot thank them enough for delivering such a wonderful experience. We would highly recommend them to anyone.

Captain Duane Crandall is a USCG approved 100 Ton Master with 30+ years experience fishing the Great Lakes and Detroit River. Growing up in a small town north of Flint Michigan, Duane has countless fishing trips to the Saginaw Bay area for Perch and Walleyes. As a young adult, Captain Duane spent many summer and fall days pursuing Lake trout and Salmon in Lake Huron and Lake Michigan. After college, Duane moved to South East Michigan and spent more time fishing the waters of the Detroit River, Lake Erie, and Lake Saint Clair. Primarily fishing for Walleye in Lake Erie and the Detroit River.

    Capt Duane met us at the gate & showed us to the boat. Quickly cast off & we were on the bay setting outriggers. Tough day of fishing but the captain kept trying new setups & we managed to get on some walleye. My boys & I enjoyed our day & would go out on the Danny Boy with Captain Duane again.

    What a great experience, Capt. Duane's boat is perfect for fishing and he knows how to put you on fish. We caught 22 keepers and seemed to be doing better than most other boats according to the radio chatter. Highly Recommend!!!!
