Hooked on Niagara – Lake Ontario 

Hooked on Niagara is a professional fishing charter, that runs trips year round. You can join Captain Lyle any time of year, it just depends where you want to go. From mid-March till October, you can find him in St. Catharines and take a trip to Lake Ontario. He’s also available at the Niagara River and Lake Erie. Pick your destination and get the fish you’ve always wanted.

In the fall of 2018, Lyle earned the King of the Lake Fall title by winning one of the biggest tournaments on Lake Ontario for Salmon and brings a dedication to putting his guests on fish to every trip.

You’ll be fishing on a 20’ Lund boat that accommodates up to 3 guests. This aluminum boat can reach the speed of 21 knots, being powered by a 200 HP Yamaha engine. She features navigational electronics, a live bait tank, and Scotty downriggers. No matter what trip you take, you’ll have a safe and comfortable ride.

Any time of year, Lyle promises a memorable fishing experience for guests on Lake Ontario. The Lake supports diversity in fishing opportunities including three species of Salmon - Chinook and Coho, and Atlantic and three species of Trout - Lake, Rainbow, and Brown. Trolling is the best approach for any of these species, so once you start doing it, anything can bite your bait.

Capt. Lyle will cover your rods, reels, lures, and bait. Since you get to keep the catch, he’ll clean it free of charge. In that case, it’s great to bring a cooler for the fillets or take the fish straight to a restaurant.
