There's no doubt that enjoying the sun at the beach is great but when you're ready for something new and exciting, there's no better way to do it, than to go on a fishing adventure. $75.00 fee if pick up at Casa De campo marina Hop aboard 'La Pichona,' Capt. Ricky's 33' Sea Ray boat that accommodates up to 6 guests. This spacious cruiser has everything you need for a comfortable ride, even if some group members aren't enthusiastic about fishing. There's an enclosed cabin with A/C, a private bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, and plenty of lounge space. You can relax and boost your tan, while others are catching lunch. Speaking of fish, there are lots of tasty species swimming around. You can target Snapper, Mahi Mahi, Barracuda, or even Marlin and Swordfish. The species that you can keep can be cleaned and fried on the spot. This is the advantage of full day trips, since you get to enjoy your catch immediately and there's also enough time to visit Palmilla beach and go snorkeling or swimming. You'll be provided with Shimano rods and reels, a variety of lures, and fresh bait. Your fishing license is covered by the crew and they'll also prepare soft drinks. Feel free to bring your own beverages and snacks if you wish. Brito Yachts has trips for any skill level. Even if this is your first time holding a rod, you can land a fish and have a great time! We had the best day on the La Pichona. Our crew of Samuel, Yeudi, and Alexis were outstanding and made our trip perfect!! Ricky the owner was very friendly and quick to respond when booking. The Dominican freshly prepared lunch on the yacht made it even more perfect. They even had a delicious birthday cake for our son. The blue waters and hospitality made it such a great day! I highly recommend using Brito yachts.

I had arranged a fishing trip combined with beach time and lunch, and our expectations were fully met! Among other things, we had freshly grilled lobster with fresh salad. For future trips, I would personally recommend clarifying the payment method on-site in advance. Depending on the payment method, there may (of course) be additional costs. But that has nothing to do with this trip - it's more of a general tip. Many thanks to the crew for the wonderful day!!

Booked thru FishingBooker which takes a ten percent commission via cc then you pay the remainder directly to Brito Yachts (note IBTA of 18% if using cc, 8% service charge for Venmo, no surcharge for cash). Crew was professional, but spoke very limited English. Capt. Jodi, crew: Alex/Jeremy. Arranged everything via WhatsApp w/ Yulian who speaks/texts perfect English. Left on time, meeting at the fuel dock ($30 USD ride from Hilton La Romana to pier). Standard trolling package for large pelagic species: outriggers, two teaser spreads, 5 lines in water w/ rigged ballyhoo. Essentially, you are in 100 fathoms within a few miles from shore, local fisherman create artificial floating cover (palm fronds anchored via concrete blocks, marked by styrofoam buoys). Fishing was slow, but we managed a barracuda and a decent Wahoo. Crew will fillet the fish; we took a couple of fillets that were cooked by the Hilton restaurant. Outstanding experience and the crew really worked to ensure we caught something (high-speed re-positioning four times to different artificial buoys over a five hour trip). Recommended to my contacts at the US Embassy, Santo Domingo and will definitely rebook with Brito next year.
