Obsession Fishing is here to take you on your newest fishing adventure in the prolific inshore Texan waters! Captain Sid Halliday has been fishing the Matagorda Bay since he was a kid, so he’s developed a lot of knowledge of the area. He’ll provide you with a great experience in both wade and drift fishing, making this a truly unique experience!

You’ll be fishing aboard a 26’ Catalyst bay boat, powered by a 300 HP Suzuki engine. The boat can develop some serious speed, but it has a wireless trolling motor making it the perfect vessel for sneaking up on the fearful inshore fish. The boat has navigational equipment, 2 live wells, and coolers for your catch. It can accommodate up to 4 people who can all fish at the same time.

These waters are teeming with a variety of fish species, so there’s always something you can target. You’ll explore the shallow waters off the coast in search of Redfish, Trout, Flounder, and Tripletail. Depending on the season, Capt. Sid can take you a little further offshore for some more fun.

All the fishing equipment will be provided on board, including LEWS and Abu Garcia reels, and custom rods. You’ll be fishing using live bait or a range of artificial lures. If you’d like to take your catch home for a delicious meal, the captain will be happy to clean and fillet your catch for you.

In addition to all the necessary equipment, you’ll also be provided with snacks, and bottled water on board. Just make sure to get a fishing license before the trip, and you can get a combo one for both freshwater and saltwater. Feel free to ask your captain about it. Note that tips are welcome and appreciated.
