Salty Rods Charters is a family-owned and operated fishing charter in Galveston, Texas. Pack up your family and friends and let's go fishing! The crew believes there is no greater joy than watching kids reel in a fish of a lifetime. Come aboard for a fun-packed trip inshore or offshore and let's get salty!
Your boat for the day will be a 29' Dusky center console powered by a 250 HP Suzuki engine and equipped with modern GPS, fishfinder, and VHF radio electronics. The boat can accommodate up to 6 anglers and is equipped with a livewell to provide you with live bait. For any help you may need during your trip, there will be a first mate on board at your disposal.
You and the crew can fish inshore, nearshore, offshore, as well as reefs, wrecks, and flats. Using light and heavy tackle, you can bottom fish, troll, and drift fish for lovely species such as Tiger and Bull Shark, Mangrove Snapper, Jack Crevalle, Redfish, and Rays. You're free to keep your catch, as well as to bring kids on the trip.
The captain will provide you with all the tackle, rods, reels, live bait, and lures. Should you decide to keep your catch, they also clean and fillet it free of charge.

We caught 2 sharks. One we could keep and one we released. Our 15 year old fisher caught the keeper and it made his day. Bubba and his girst mate made the trip fun and both were extremely knowledgeable. it was extremely hot, but i would do it again and again with Bubba and his first mate!
Such a great time! My family went out as a first time experience and we knew it was a hit and miss. You never know what you’ll catch or if you catch anything at all. I got boat sick, but my family had a great time. We caught 2 good size sharks. Our captain was so chilled and answered every question we had. After our trip, he cleaned and cut everything up for us! Worth every penny.
Great trip, captain and his son were awesome and knowledgeable. Put us on some fish right away. Caught a sting ray and shark, being on the water was nice and relaxing would recommend.
Captain Bubba is very knowlegable and fun to fish with! Even though I was seasick it was still a memory we wont forget! Highly reccomend!!
My husband and son did this trip and loved it. Although they only caught one notable fish, they thoroughly enjoyed the experience. They plan to do another one next year at a time when they will likely be more successful with the catch. This 6-hr trip was very worth it and they had a great time with the crew.
