Ebb Tide Charters welcomes anglers, sportsmen and vacationers to The Chesapeake Bay. Captain Billy Gee is a third generation of fishermen in his family and he's spent his whole life exploring the waters of Chesapeake Bay. Now, he's ready to share his experience with you.
The charter is located at the Podicory Point marine in Annapolis which is only 45 minutes from Baltimore and DC. This gives you access to the middle Chesapeake Bay, where you can find great sport fishing action, any time between May and December.
Ebb Tide is a 40' Robbins bay boat, which is exceptionally well maintained. There's lots of space for fishing action, so the boat accommodates up to 15 guests. The boat is powered by a 375 HP Caterpillar engine and provides a safe and comfortable ride, no matter how far offshore you go. The typical cruising speed is around 16 knots, which means you'll reach your fishing spot quickly.
The most popular fish to catch here is Striped Bass (Rockfish). You may also land Spanish Mackerel, Catfish, Black Drum, Bluefish, and White Perch. Catching them is only half of the fun - you get to keep the fish after the trip and enjoy a lovely meal. The crew will clean and fillet the catch, so it will be ready for the grill immediately.
All the fishing gear on board is professional and durable. You can choose from a variety of different sizes of rods and reels and find what's best for your target. Feel free to bring your own gear if you prefer it, just let the captain know in advance, so he can make enough storage space.

I booked the trip for my son's birthday party. All my son wanted to do for his birthday was go on a boat and go fishing and he made sure that he had the time of his life. Capt. Billy treated us like family and I would highly recommend him taking your family/friends out for an amazing boating exp. This was my son's first time out on a boat, and Capt. Billy made sure that my son was shown all the equipment and made him feel comfortable being on his boat. I want to say Capt. Billy is a wonderful man and a great friend to the family.
Skies were grey and a light rain was carried across the bay when we set out on Capt. Billy's vessel, to be honest expectations were not high. Billy proved us wrong, and we caught around 20 Rockfish over the course of the day! We kept the biggest ones and took home 24 excellent fillets (12 fish) prepared by the (also excellent) First Mate. Our crew was allowed to prove itself by catching bait, hooking it, casting, reeling, and netting. 10/10 experience, we'll be back!
I arranged this trip for my grandsons 14th birthday. He and his friends had a great time. Capt Billie as attentive and very professional. I would highly recommend him and his crew.
We had a great time fishing and learning new ways to catch fish with the friendly Crew on Ebb Charter Boat .Would highly recommend them to beginners and will charter them again soon.

Capt. Billy Gee is a third-generation fisherman and shares his father's love of this amazing sport. His specialty is catching Rockfish on the Chesapeake Bay. Born and raised in Deale Maryland, Capt. Billy grew up fishing the middle bay with his grandfather. When he was old enough to make fishing from a hobby into a career, he started working for local charter boats. Billy became a full-time mate when his dad bought his first charter boat and started Ebb Tide Charters. In 1999 he got his captain's license and in 2014 purchased his own 40' charter boat. He also has an Unlimited Tidal Fishing license from the Maryland Dept. of Natural Resources.
