Captain Pat’s Charters
It's a true blessing to be a guide here in Key Largo. I’m an army veteran and I was born a florda native and fished the waters all around Florida for almost 40 years. Still, there is no fishing experience quite like that in the Keys. Whether it's the backwaters, or patch reefs in the Atlantic, the fish and beautiful natural living coral reefs to explore are unreal. We also pick you up at Giberts Resort where you can bring your catch and they will cook it!
The most targeted species are Snook, Hogfish, Tarpon, Triggerfish, Mahi, Barracuda, Flounder, Mackerel, Dolphin, Snapper, Bonefish, Permit, Cobia, Grouper, Trout, various species of Sharks and the list goes on and on and on.
We have a 24’ Blazer Bay boat that accommodates up to 4-5 people. This bay boat features the latest navigational equipment, a tower, Mercury 300 engine, wireless trolling motor, live bait tank, power poles and a cooler. The trips are also a blast for kids and a great way to introduce them to fishing!
Your fishing equipment and fishing license are included in the price, so there’s not a lot you need to bring other than maybe some lunch and snacks. We provide water on the boat. Lookin forward to catchin some fish with you!

Fun day on the water
Had a great trip with Captain Pat. He was very patient with my 11yo high energy, fishing fanatic son. Captain Pat worked his tail off to keep us on fish. When the bite slowed at a spot, we were off to another one. Managed to check off several species from my son’s bucket list…..even kept us out past the trip time to do it. Boat and tackle were very nice. Pat is super knowledgeable and was fun to be around. The marina where keeps his boat was easy to get to, wasn’t crowded at all, had access to a restroom, and had a great restaurant that cooked some of our catch for a late lunch after the trip - it was excellent. Cant wait to book with him again!

Patch Reef Fishing 4hour
Great day of family fun
Had a great day fishing with Captain Pat. We did the 4hr patch reef trip. He put us right on a couple spots that were productive for Yellowtail, Mutton Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Bar Jack and Black Grouper. He was very attentive and fun to talk with. Very knowledgeable in the sport. He filleted our catch and we just had a portion of it cooked up at Gilbert's Resort. Delicious! (Forgot to take picture of food before diving in.) Looking forward to the next trip out with Pat. Next time will be an inshore adventure tracking down snook. Highly recommend this trip.

FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE.
Book with confidence!!!!!Capt. Pat was awesome!!!!! I am an avid bass angler but like to go out in the backcountry and salt water fish. Pat is definitely one of us. He is not afraid to make long runs if he isn't on fish close. He will jump from spot to spot to make sure you catch fish. Conversation was great as well. Will definitely be using Capt Pat anytime I am back in the Keys!!!! When we got off the water the last day I truly felt like I made a buddy that I will fish with from now on.Great job Capt Pat

Boat was prepared and ready to go captain explained we would try different marks First one produced lots of sea trout with helpful Suggestions on how to work bait then on to snook before chasing mutton snapper again helpful advice. Good day out great way to see the wildlife stunning scenery and catch fish. Captain stopped to assist a boat in trouble which was the right thing to do however he added some time to trip to make sure I still had full time fishing. Recommend you book a trip

Captain Patrick persevered!
We had a great morning with Captain Patrick. We had some setbacks in the water that was no fault of the captain but he persevered, got us through it and got us on some great fish! His calm cool manner and patience really showed and we wish we could have fished with him all day. His dock at Gilbert’s is in the perfect location and you can grab a great lunch before or after the trip. If we ever come back, Captain Patrick is our man!
