Angler's Choice
It's a true blessing to be a guide here in Key Largo. I'm an army veteran and I was born a florda native and fished the waters all around Florida for almost 40 years. Still, there is no fishing experience quite like that in the Keys. Whether it's the backwaters, or patch reefs in the Atlantic, the fish and beautiful natural living coral reefs to explore are unreal. We also pick you up at Giberts Resort where you can bring your catch and they will cook it!
The most targeted species are Snook, Hogfish, Tarpon, Triggerfish, Mahi, Barracuda, Flounder, Mackerel, Dolphin, Snapper, Bonefish, Permit, Cobia, Grouper, Trout, various species of Sharks and the list goes on and on and on.
We have a 24' Blazer Bay boat that accommodates up to 3 people. This bay boat features the latest navigational equipment, a tower, Mercury 300 engine, wireless trolling motor, live bait tank, power poles and a cooler. The trips are also a blast for kids and a great way to introduce them to fishing!
Your fishing equipment and fishing license are included in the price, so there's not a lot you need to bring other than maybe some lunch and snacks. We provide water on the boat. Lookin forward to catchin some fish with you!

If you want a fishing guide who works harder than a caffeinated squirrel, Patrick is your man. I took my 12-year-old son out, and Patrick literally went above and beyond—hopping from spot to spot like he was on a mission to catch every fish in the ocean.
He’s got magic hands for fixing any gear and a huge heart to match. We started calling him "Bro" because he felt like family!
The Gear: Top-tier and professional.
The Boat: So clean you could eat off the deck.
The Haul: Snapper, Mutton, and Grouper.
he took the catch after he filleted it to Gilbert’s afterward, and it was absolute fire. If you’re looking for a legendary day on the water, book Captain Patrick.

Hooked My First Tarpon
4 Hour Trip — Everglades on May 31, 2026 • 1 adult
The day was very hot and a tough fishing day. But the Captain was bound and determined to not let me go back empty handed. So on the way back in we went looking along the beach and canals for signs of Tarpon. He spotted one and then another. We started casting and BAM! I've never seen such a more beautiful site than that Tarpon dancing all over the top of the water. What a great day. 🐬

Great trip!

Captain Pat is a very friendly, funny and personable guide. He is also very knowledgeable about the fishery and immediately put us on fish. Mangrove snapper were active and we took home enough for two full meals for the our family of four. We even threw several “keepers” back. Highly recommend Captain Pat!

We went on the 11:30 charter trip on 3/8/2026 and had a wonderful time. Capt. Pat was extremely knowledgeable about the fish and where to find them. He was very oatient and answered any questions we had. He has served our country in the Army and we are grateful for his service and allowinf us the freedom to go on fishing charters. Highly recommend booking his boat! We look forward to taking another trip with him the next time we are in Key Largo.

Fun day on the water
6 Hour Trip — Captain's Choice ⚓️ on July 8, 2025 • 2 adults • 1 child
Had a great trip with Captain Pat. He was very patient with my 11yo high energy, fishing fanatic son. Captain Pat worked his tail off to keep us on fish. When the bite slowed at a spot, we were off to another one. Managed to check off several species from my son’s bucket list…..even kept us out past the trip time to do it. Boat and tackle were very nice. Pat is super knowledgeable and was fun to be around. The marina where keeps his boat was easy to get to, wasn’t crowded at all, had access to a restroom, and had a great restaurant that cooked some of our catch for a late lunch after the trip - it was excellent. Cant wait to book with him again!
