Wine Down Charters is starting its first year hosting fishing and sightseeing charters. Captain Bill Silva has been fishing for years and now he's determined to follow his passion and start guiding trips professionally. Based in Hingham, MA, he's blessed with a year-round fishing season and can take you on an adventure any time.
Hop aboard a 28' Shannon Brendan boat that accommodates up to 6 guests. There's enough room for everyone to fish in comfort and catch their own trophy. The boat is powered by twin 250 HP Detroit engine that will take you to any fishing spot fast. You'll also find a private toilet and basic kitchen appliances on board.
Choose the trip depending on the fish you want to catch. There are specialized tours for Haddock, Striped Bass, and Bluefish. You can also go after Flounder and Black Seabass as an addition. It's good to know that most of these fish are very tasty, since you get to keep them after the trip. Capt Bill cleans your catch too, so you'll leave the boat with clean and fresh fish fillets. In the end, you are welcome to leave a 20% tip for the crew!
All rods and reels are fully covered and included in the price. You only need to bring your snacks and drinks for the day. It's always recommended to bring a hat and sunglasses, so you can spot the fish more easily.

We booked a six hour trip. Bill’s expertise showed. From safety to cleanliness to knowledge and skill. My grandchildren had the time of their lives. They caught lots of bait fish and landed three amazing striped bass. First mate Matt was wonderful with the children and Bill being a teacher taught the kids a ton of stuff, not only about fishing but about the science and history of fishing. Not once in six hours did my grandchildren tune out. It was truly a wonderful experience that I highly recommend for parents and grandparents who want their children and grandchildren to experience a most perfect introduction to what fishing for the big ones is all about!
Was great to have James and the grandkids on the boat! The kids did a great job fishing and James was one of the most interesting guests we have ever had on the boat! Looking forward to having you all on the boat again!
My son (17) and I had a fantastic morning fishing for stripers with Captain Bill and Conner. We caught several big stripers. Bill and Conner were both super nice guys and very knowledgeable, skilled fishermen. Had a blast and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to catch a lot of fish. Overall - a great experience!

Thai was our first time booking a charter and we had a great time. Wine Down Charters showed us a good time. We caught strippers and they cleaned them for us and we made fish tacos that evening. I highly recommend taking the trip.

This was a fantastic trip for all of us, father, son and four grandsons. The Captain was knowledgeable, personable and accommodating. Everyone caught fish, even the youngest, aged seven. We booked this as an unknown and could not be happier with the experience. All equipment was provided, it was turnkey from baiting the hooks to filleting the catch. It was a memory for a lifetime.
