Come to Port Clinton & Lakeside/Marblehead, Ohio and discover the western basin of Lake Erie. H2oboss Charters are available for you to enjoy a safe and exciting trip on the waters of Lake Erie. Hopefully, after a fun trip, you'll have a cooler full of fish. The experienced Captain John will be with you to make sure of that.
You'll be cruising the waters of Lake Erie Western basin on the 27 ft Sportcraft (walkaround) model from 2001. The charter takes up to 6 guests per trip, and you will be happy to know there's an onboard toilet for your convenience. The boat is 27' long and it is equipped with a single Mercruiser engine with 310 HP that can reach speeds of 30 knots with a 15 HP Mercury trolling motor, this keeps things nice and slow for fishing!
They also offer a 1-2 person trip on a smaller 620 Ranger boat , for a reduced price of $550 for a 7 hour trip.
The crew can take you to the nearshore and offshore locations of the Western & Central basin of Lake Erie. The clients can fish for Walleye or Yellow Perch depending on the season. You can choose from several fishing techniques like light tackle casting, bottom fishing, and trolling, just to name a few. It's best you ask Captain John for recommendations!
This is YOUR TRIP, the clients can do as much or as little as they like on this trip. They can net the fish, set the equipment, of course reel in the fish and even choose the baits we use if you have a preference.
Children of 10 years of age and older are welcome aboard.
Be sure to purchase the fishing license for Lake Erie fishing in Ohio, as the charter doesn't cover it.
They do provide excellent fishing equipment and lures and some live bait on board.
The crew includes a first mate (when available).
Feel free to bring beverages and snacks in a small cooler for your day on the water,

Wonderful experience with Captain John and First Mate Scotty. Both were very knowledgeable and eager to teach us how to help and successfully catch lots of fish. Captain was in constant contact with me leading up to the trip specifically because there was a good chance of heavy rain and storms that day. Captain was committed to staying out as long as possible to ensure each one of us caught our limit of walleye (which we did after a brief dry spell) will definitely be heading back this year for another trip before the season ends.

Captain John and his deckhand were great. It was me, my 14-year-old son, and my 16-year-old daughter who have never been on a fishing charter and usually fish off the dock. We were looking to catch walleye and walleye did we catch. We caught over 13lbs of cleaned walleye to cook for dinner the day after the trip. If you are an amateur fisher and looking to get out on the lake to get the trolling fishing boat experience than H20 charters is a great choice!!!

My family and I just enjoyed a delightful morning of charter fishing with Captain John and First Mate Scott. They were super-friendly, well-equipped, and knew where the perch were biting. They were also quite patient with my wife and daughter, who had never gone on a fishing charter before. We also felt safe and secure throughout our trip. It was a marvelous experience, and we can’t wait to book with them again!

Captain John and Deb were fun to hang out with and I would fish with them anytime! Walleye weren't biting, so we switched and ended up fishing for Perch and caught plenty. Captain John found the us hot spot and we were one of the boats in the area. By the end of the day the rest of the fleet out there had followed his lead, but by then we had already caught our fair share.
