Come to Port Clinton & Lakeside/Marblehead, Ohio and discover the western basin of Lake Erie. H2oboss Charters are available for you to enjoy a safe and exciting trip on the waters of Lake Erie. Hopefully, after a fun trip, you'll have a cooler full of fish. The experienced Captain John will be with you to make sure of that.
You'll be cruising the waters of Lake Erie Western basin on the 27 ft Sportcraft (walkaround) model from 2001. The charter takes up to 6 guests per trip, and you will be happy to know there's an onboard toilet for your convenience. The boat is 27' long and it is equipped with a single Mercruiser engine with 310 HP that can reach speeds of 30 knots with a 15 HP Mercury trolling motor, this keeps things nice and slow for fishing!
They also offer a 1-2 person trip on a smaller 620 Ranger boat , for a reduced price of $550 for a 7 hour trip.
The crew can take you to the nearshore and offshore locations of the Western & Central basin of Lake Erie. The clients can fish for Walleye or Yellow Perch depending on the season. You can choose from several fishing techniques like light tackle casting, bottom fishing, and trolling, just to name a few. It's best you ask Captain John for recommendations!
This is YOUR TRIP, the clients can do as much or as little as they like on this trip. They can net the fish, set the equipment, of course reel in the fish and even choose the baits we use if you have a preference.
Children of 10 years of age and older are welcome aboard.
Be sure to purchase the fishing license for Lake Erie fishing in Ohio, as the charter doesn't cover it.
They do provide excellent fishing equipment and lures and some live bait on board.
The crew includes a first mate (when available).
Feel free to bring beverages and snacks in a small cooler for your day on the water,

Had a great time trolling for walleye on our trip with Capt. John. Our party of five had been on deep sea charters before, but never on the Great Lakes. The weather wasn’t cooperating with our chosen date, but after putting it off a couple of days, the weather and seas could not have been better! The morning started slow, but it wasn’t long before business started to pick up. We ended up with 11 walleye including one 28 inch,7 nice channel cats and one white perch. Also caught several sheepshead that we threw back, but were fun to catch! Capt. John Ware knows his stuff and I would definitely recommend him! It was definitely the funnest day of my week vacation in Marblehead!
The Cunningham family was such a great group. I hope theycan make a return trip SOON !!!
Our fishing trip with Captain John and his first mate was excellent. Both were very accommodating and patient with our crew who were mostly first timers, once we were shown the ropes we were off to the races and enjoying our day! The weather conditions were not ideal but John took us to areas that were less impacted and with their knowledge made sure we got our limit for the day. Much appreciated!
Ben and His family was such a pleasure to have onboard? It was so easy to teach them. I hope they come back soon. Everyone seemed to have a great time !!
Great experience fishing with captain John.Communication was great through the whole process.Very accommodating and informative.Stayed on the water late just so we could catch out 30th fish for our groups walleye limit! Dedicated to the sport and his clients safety and fishing experience.Definitely will be back again to go after the big ones!

We had 5 on the trip and we all caught our limit of walleye The captain was great helping us get use to poles and gear and by late morning we did most but not all by ourselves. A great day of fishing Thanks captain John
