We’ve changed our business name to reflect our new playground Airlie Beach Fishing Adventures and we think sums it up pretty darn well. Join Jim for a fishing adventure, available year-round. All trips are family-friendly and suitable for anglers of all skill levels. Whether it’s your first time holding a rod or you’re here to level-up your game, you’re at the right place.
Jim is proud to be skippering his own spacious purpose-built vessel to suit your individual needs. This 20’ Stessco center console is capped at 4 passengers plus crew to provide a more intimate setting along with more one on one time with the skipper. She’s powered by a 200 HP Yamaha engine and features modern navigational electronics, a live bait tank, an esky, and quality fishing gear by Shimano.
The beautiful waters of the Whitsundays offer a variety of fishing spots with all kinds of fish species. You can expect Coral Trout, Tropical Snapper, Sweetlip Emperor, Nannygai, Mackerel, and more. Switch between trolling, bottom fishing, and spinning to catch your favorite fish. You can have the whole boat to yourself, or take a shared trip and join other anglers.
We’ll take care of your fishing equipment, food, and drinks. You only need to bring along something to take your catch home in and it’s recommended to bring your sunglasses, hats, and long sleeve shirt.

The service was great from start to finish, and Jim himself was a top bloke — friendly, helpful, and clearly knows his stuff. The whole experience was smooth, fun, and honestly one of the best days out on the water we’ve had. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great fishing trip and an all-round awesome day! 🎣🌤️

Communication with Jim was super easy. He was extremely knowledgeable, accommodating and also helpful, patient and kind to myself and parents who were fishing for the first time.
We caught some amazing variety of fish both large and small and were given recommendations on how to cook it. He also filleted and bagged everything up for us.
The whole charter was smooth sailing start to finish.
Overall just had an awesome day, catch and feed. Will defs book Jim and his charter tour again next time. Thanks for having us!

We were a party of 4 from the uk and booked a half day trip. Jim was very knowledgeable and friendly. Put us on the fish straight away and we came away with 13 keepers, 4 different species, 3 in Jim's top 5!
Jim expertly filleted our catch and recommended we take them to the Anchor Inn. They prepared an absolutely amazing meal for us within 40 minutes of arrival, cooking the fish 3 different ways. It was the perfect end to the trip. Fish from sea to table in under 5hrs.

Jim provided top notch service, great hospitality and he knew some great fishing spots. This was my first fishing charter with my son and Jim basically did everything for us i.e baiting line and filleting the fish. He knew some great spots and we haulled in a lot of fish of a wide variety. The boat was setup perfectly with all the tech and amenities. Would highly recommend Jim's fishing charter to anyone, novice or experienced fisherman.
