We've changed our business name to reflect our new playground Airlie Beach Fishing Adventures and we think sums it up pretty darn well. Join Jim for a fishing adventure, available year-round. All trips are family-friendly and suitable for anglers of all skill levels. Whether it's your first time holding a rod or you're here to level-up your game, you're at the right place.
Jim is proud to be skippering his own spacious purpose-built vessel to suit your individual needs. This 20' Stessco center console is capped at 4 passengers plus crew to provide a more intimate setting along with more one on one time with the skipper. She's powered by a 200 HP Yamaha engine and features modern navigational electronics, a live bait tank, an esky, and quality fishing gear by Shimano.
The beautiful waters of the Whitsundays offer a variety of fishing spots with all kinds of fish species. You can expect Coral Trout, Tropical Snapper, Sweetlip Emperor, Nannygai, Mackerel, and more. Switch between trolling, bottom fishing, and spinning to catch your favorite fish. You can have the whole boat to yourself, or take a shared trip and join other anglers.
We'll take care of your fishing equipment, food, and drinks. You only need to bring along something to take your catch home in and it's recommended to bring your sunglasses, hats, and long sleeve shirt.

We had an amazing family day out fishing. Jim was fantastic to deal with from the start communicating clearly throughout the whole way through. We originally booked earlier in the week but Jim suggested we postponed due to the weather and it turned out to be the best decision we ended up with a beautiful day caught plenty of fish. Everyone on board landed one. Jim was more than a fishing guide he shared great local knowledge about the islands in the area along the way. I’d highly recommend doing this trip at the start of your holiday Jim can point you in the right direction of what to do and where to go, overall a great day out thanks a lot Jim. Great work keep it up mate.
my 2 brothers and I took our old man out for his birthday, we had 2 request fill the esky and fish till we drop! boy did captain jim deliver! we were on good sized good eating fish all day! he made it easy for us by baiting our lines and giving great tips on targeting the local species, special mention jim’s wife packed some bithday cupcakes for dad, that was a lovely personal touch. thanks jim!
Jim was great. Taught my two 16yr old boys some good techniques to land some of the bigger fish. Came away with a good two days feed. Highly recommend booking a day out with Jim. We will book again
3 generations went on this trip and everyone agreed ‘best time ever’ waa first time the young boys had been out fishing on a boat and the trip has totally fueled their fishing passion! Jim and crew were very helpful, everyone caught fish and came home very excited to enjoy their catch for dinner. Thoroughly recommend!
We were a party of 4 from the uk and booked a half day trip. Jim was very knowledgeable and friendly. Put us on the fish straight away and we came away with 13 keepers, 4 different species, 3 in Jim's top 5! Jim expertly filleted our catch and recommended we take them to the Anchor Inn. They prepared an absolutely amazing meal for us within 40 minutes of arrival, cooking the fish 3 different ways. It was the perfect end to the trip. Fish from sea to table in under 5hrs.
