Capt Vinny is great. He askd what we would like to accomplish for the day and he delivered. I said we would like to put fish in the box, so we targeted speckled trout and red drum. We got 4 trout right away then moved to drum. We got our 3 in the slot and a few over. My 7yo son had a blast. He even caught a keeper drum on a spoon all by himself! Capt Vinny was patient and helpful with my son, said he has 3 daughters of his own.
    We are a family that loves good fishing and enjoy a great fish dinner. We got both. Capt vinny said it best, “ u can buy legal sized fish in the grocery, but they don’t sell the memories of him catching the over-sized ones”.

We had the BEST time in OBX with our Captain Vinny . He is very knowledgeable and got us catching fish as soon as we got out there!!! He works so hard to keep all of the lines baited and in the water to catch as many fish as possible. He is positive and upbeat. You can tell he cares about you having the best experience you can have and wants you to catch the most fish you possibly can! We caught several fish! My husband and I actually caught the biggest Redfish on the trip that are actually trophy fish that we will receive certificates for from the state of NC! The captain was so good with our teen girls on the boat and made sure they both left with catching fish! If you have the chance book with Stick ‘em. You won’t be disappointed!!

We planned to go the Ocean but due to conditions it was recommended we stay in the Sound.  The group was my wife, 2 kids, and myself.  Vinnie did a great job overall getting us to catch fish in a variety of conditions and methods.  Top water( caught a trout the first cast of the day), jigs, etc.  Vinnie has children himself and did an exceptional job with our kids.  My daughter, had set her heart on catching, the “prized, goofy smiled” sheepshead, or Zebra fish as she named it, and Vinnie was as excited as her when she finally was able to bring her “trophy” aboard in the final 10 minutes of fishing.
We caught trout, blues, flounder, along with the much sought after sheepshead. 

We recommend Stick em overall but definitely for those wishing to take a family trip with kids.

Captain Vinny was absolutely amazing. We did a sunset trip for 4 hours in the middle of april. The weather went from sunny to cloudy to rainy to windy to calm and every combination. Captain Vinny knew exactly how to correct for the wind to keep us on the fish. We caught several nice trout, a 24 inch red drum, and even got some hook ups on the fly rod! I picked his brain about local fishing knowledge and he gave me a lot of great tips to get on some fish myself during the rest of my vacation. I am definitely keeping in touch and plan on booking a trip with him everytime we come out here! Can’t give enough compliments about captain Vinny’s fishing knowledge or his great positive personality!

Captain Vinny was fantastic! We attempted to head out into the ocean twice to fish the wrecks but the weather had other plans. After calling an audible, we headed back into the sound where we settled into some calmer water and fished the grass areas. We landed a bunch of Speckled Trout and Blues but the highlight was definitely a citation sized Gator Trout! He is extremely knowledgeable and doesn’t stop working! We can’t thank him enough for putting us on the fish and trying new spots throughout the day. WE WILL BE BACK!
