Old North State Fishing offers a family friendly, personalized fishing experience. We are located at Wanchese Marina in the historic fishing village of Wanchese.

Uitilizing light tackle we will fish the waters of the Pamlico Sound where we catch an abundance of Speckled Trout, Red drum, Flounder Striped Bass, and other species! Techniques include, casting lures, popping corks and usung live bait!

Your fishing adventure starts on a restored 22' Hydra-Sports dual console boat that can safely take up to 4 anglers. This boat comes with an ice box and uses modern navigation electronics.

All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters, fishing. The captain works hard to make your experience is unique! 20% gratuity is customary.

Mom caught the BIGGEST, and 2 Teenage Boys

Full day inshore on August 10, 2025 • 3 adults

Where to start...Captain Andy was stellar right from the beginning. He got us out right away to start catching our own live bait. While doing so we caught bait fish plus a puffer fish and pompano which were thrown back. Once we moved to our fishing location he was able to get us maxed out with Spotted Trout. We had to throw 2 back because Mom caught 2 of them over 21". While fishing my son also snagged a decent size stingray. Captain And was determined to get us maxed out on our catches! He was very knowledgeable and well prepared! Definitely a fun day out!

Captain Andy kept us updated on weather until the day of our trip. My boys had a great day! Captain Andy provided everything they needed for fishing. Provided them with shelter under a bridge during a short storm and he gave my son lasting memories with his father. Seeing the smile on their faces after their fishing trip was priceless!!! Thank you Captain Andy Ennis!!!!

Great OBX Experience

Captain Andy provided a great experience for my two boys and myself while on a fishing trip recently. He allowed for active fishing while on the boat, was friendly, and seemed genuinely interested in our experience being positive. Will plan to book again next year with him

Booked with Captain Andy, fishing was slow at first but we kept after it and put some nice fish in the cooler, trout, flounder and drum. Captain Andy was knowledgeable and worked to get us on fish. It was a great morning. Thanks cap.

Great Day on the Water!

Andy did an excellent job getting us on fish right out of the gate! We managed to catch 10+ Trout and 3 solid Redfish! We had a great time and would highly recommend spending a day on the water with Old North State Fishing Charter!
