JDR Fishing Adventures and Captain Jimmy Reardon invite you for a memorable angling experience in Texas. Set sail out of Alba and explore Lake Fork and nearby lakes. All of them provide plenty of fishing opportunities as well as beautiful natural scenery to admire. Join Captain Jimmy and have a relaxing fishing trip on a lake.

Your journey will start on a 22’ Ranger bass boat that can sit up to 4 anglers. It’s powered by a 250 HP Mercury V8 engine with a maximum cruising speed of 65 knots. The boat uses a livescope system for efficient locating the fish and is equipped with a livewell to supply you with live bait.

The two lake beauties that you’ll be targeting are Largemouth Bass and Crappie. Using light tackle, you and Captain Jimmy will catch them by spinning or baitcasting reel. Kids are more than welcome to join the trip, they will love being in nature and the atmosphere will be much more fun with them around. You can decide whether you want to keep your catch or release it back into the water.

The captain will provide you with all the rods, reels, tackle, live bait, and lures. At the end of the trip, he’ll clean and fillet your catch so it’s ready for cooking when you get back home. What you should bring to your trip is fishing licenses, some food, and drinks.

Come to Alba and have a terrific time on the water, JDR Fishing Adventures is waiting for you!

Full Day Trip on April 7, 2025

We went with one of Jimmy's colleagues because Jimmy was sick. The fish were shut off, which seemed to be the case for everyone. Not much you can do when you are hitting the fish in the head on the livescope and they still won't bite. We talked with five different guides and it sounds like we caught the most fish. It wasn't a lot but we didn't go home empty-handed. Beautiful day and the guide really knew the lake well, even pointing out professional bass fishermen we passed on the lake. Seems like he knew everyone. Friendly and helpful, it seemed like the guide was quick enough to swap out our rods between casts.

5 Hour Trip – Largemouth Bass (AM) on April 15, 2025

My wife and I spent the morning on Lake Fork with Captain Jimmy. Her and I both grew up bass fishing, but up north in different water and with different techniques. Jimmy was an excellent teacher. He answered all of our questions and explained why we were doing each technique that he taught. We spent the morning sight-fishing for spawning Largemouth. Jimmy’s ability to see the bass through the muddy water was extremely impressive. Then, he’d walk us through the process of getting them to bite. My wife and I each caught multiple bass over 3lbs. I’d absolutely recommend that you fish Lake Fork with Jimmy! Especially if you are less experienced in this area or style of fishing.

Jimmy gave us the BEST experience ever on Lake Fork. He was very knowledgeable not only on the Lake itself but in all aspects of fishing! Polite and patient with us, top notch equipment. From the moment I booked he consistently communicated with me. He took us where the fish were. Will be back to fish with Jimmy again soon.

Captain Jimmy put us on the bass today. He did everything right and knew how to fish the lake. His equipment and gear was first rate. His knowledge of the lake, his equipment, and his ability to control his boat allowed our party of three to catch our fair share of bass. No complaints and we highly recommend him and his services.

Easy boat to fish from. Has a swiveling seat in front of boat. Can fish out of both sides of boat. He is very knowledgeable of the best bass structure. Also what are the best baits to use. I will definitely use him many more times. In fact I am booking another trip just as soon he is available.
