Dennis is a real threat to Bass with many trophy references. He has been starred in many front covers of Fish&Game magazine. Fishing with Dennis can't get more exciting and his passion is contagious.
You will go out aboard a 20' Nitro bass boat, which was originally built in 2000 and uphauled in 2017. It comes powered by a 225 HP Mercury which enables a dry and safe ride to the fishing grounds. Perfect for accommodating up to 2 anglers, the vessel is rigged with modern navigational electronics and safety equipment.
Fishing Lake Fork with one of the most experienced guides is a rewarding experience. The trips are half and full days, depending on your personal preference. You will be fishing for Largemouth Bass, for which the reservoir is famous. The lake produces somewhat the largest Bass and is abundant with those tasty monsters.
If you are a big fan of Largemouth Bass, the fishing is most productive during the spring with its peak from mid-February to April, fall, and winter months. Summer is also a good idea to chase it. Capt. Dennis prefers bottom fishing and jigging fishing techniques, as well as light tackle and heavy tackle. In order to protect the lake's resources, Dennis is a strong advocate of catch-and-release.
Your fishing adventure will include lures, snacks, and drinks. Just grab your favorite fishing gear and tackle and come aboard! You will also need to purchase a valid Texas Resident or Non-Resident fishing license if you are over 17 years of age.

Conditions weren't in our favor, however Dennis did his best to move to different locations to give us the best odds. He's great with kids and makes sure it's never a dull moment. Would definitely recommend booking him, as we will be returning soon to go after another PB.

Extended Full Day Trip on September 6, 2025 • 2 adultsDennis was a blast to fish with as well as just chat with. He’s down-to-earth and clearly enjoys what he does! The fishing was a struggle due to a storm the night before, but with his help we were still able to land 7 bass, including an 8 pounder! I’ll definitely be booking Dennis again next time I return to Lake Fork!

Extended Full Day Trip on May 22, 2021 • 2 adultsAfter talking about making the trip to Lake Fork for about 8 months, we finally got a free weekend day to get out on the water with Dennis. Despite a quiet bite with all the rain/flooding we have had in north Texas recently, Dennis still put us on them, bringing in 9 total for the day including a nice 7 pounder...The Lake was pretty busy and we didn't see another boat pull in a fish all day! Overall, Dennis was a great guide and, like any good fisherman, will keep you entertained with stories all day - just ask him about his 15.5 pounder named Missy! Highly recommend a trip with Dennis. I will no doubt be back on Lake Fork with Dennis soon enough.

Fish weren’t biting but er had a wonderful experience with Captain Dennis Canads. The purpose of our trip as to give my 8;year old grandson a great fishing experience. Captain Canada delivered on a day when the fish just weren’t biting much. He basically spent the entire day tirelessly working with and teaching, one on onev, the 8year old. What could have been a frustrating day was rescued by Captain Canada.

Me and my uncle had a terrific time with Captain Dennis. We both enjoyed a day of fishing and great conversations. Highly recommend him to others and will be planning another trip with him in the coming months !

I currently hold the 43rd largest Bass in the state of Texas, the third-largest in Texas at the time it was caught, at 15.54 lbs
