Tracking Texas Trophies offers Largemouth Bass fishing trips on Lake Fork. Dennis Canada, the company’s owner and operator, is a professional guide with a reputation hardly anyone could beat. Dennis is a real threat to Bass with many trophy references. He has been starred in many front covers of Fish&Game magazine. Fishing with Dennis can’t get more exciting and his passion is contagious.
You will go out aboard a 20’ Nitro bass boat, which was originally built in 2000 and uphauled in 2017. It comes powered by a 225 HP Mercury which enables a dry and safe ride to the fishing grounds. Perfect for accommodating up to 2 anglers, the vessel is rigged with modern navigational electronics and safety equipment.
Fishing Lake Fork with one of the most experienced guides is a rewarding experience. The trips are half and full days, depending on your personal preference. You will be fishing for Largemouth Bass, for which the reservoir is famous. The lake produces somewhat the largest Bass and is abundant with those tasty monsters.
If you are a big fan of Largemouth Bass, the fishing is most productive during the spring with its peak from mid-February to April, fall, and winter months. Summer is also a good idea to chase it. Capt. Dennis prefers bottom fishing and jigging fishing techniques, as well as light tackle and heavy tackle. In order to protect the lake’s resources, Dennis is a strong advocate of catch-and-release.
Your fishing adventure will include lures, snacks, and drinks. Just grab your favorite fishing gear and tackle and come aboard! You will also need to purchase a valid Texas Resident or Non-Resident fishing license if you are over 17 years of age.

Extended Full Day Trip
Full frontal assault by Mother Nature
This was one of the most brutal fishing days I have experienced. We started in the morning with rain, at times heavy. Then the Thunderstorms rolled in and drove us off the lake for almost an hour. Then the 25+ mph winds kicked in, and the temp dropped from the low 60's to the mid 30's. We could not navigate the main lake and were relegated to select locations that we could access without main lake access and that were sheltered from the wind. It was rough. The weather was not our friend that day. But Dennis kept us in the hunt. He kept working, trying to find fish and get them to bite. We fished all day, ended up with very cold hands and feet and 3 small fish. I consider those three fish good for that day. Probably a testament to Dennis' resilience and determination to not give up. All a guide can do is try to make the trip the best it can be with the hand that Mother Nature deals. Dennis did that. I am looking forward to using Dennis again in the future when conditions are more favorable.

Dennis is Great!
Dennis was a blast to fish with as well as just chat with. He’s down-to-earth and clearly enjoys what he does! The fishing was a struggle due to a storm the night before, but with his help we were still able to land 7 bass, including an 8 pounder! I’ll definitely be booking Dennis again next time I return to Lake Fork!
