Ozark Trout Runners welcomes you to Missouri for a lovely day on the water. Starting out of Branson, you and Captain Duane Doty will go fish Lake Taneycomo, one of the best if not the best destination for catching Trout in all of the Midwest. Though the captain specializes in targeting trophy-sized fish with jerkbaits at night, you can pick a day trip for the whole family as well. Join in and have a wonderful time fishing and enjoying the alluring nature near the magnificent Ozark Mountains.
You'll start your journey on a 20' Lowe aluminum fishing boat that can sit up to 4 guests. It runs on a 90 HP Mercury engine that can reach a maximum cruising speed of 36 knots. The boat uses modern GPS and fishfinder technology to quickly take you to the fish and it features a livewell to supply you with live bait.
You and Captain Duane will target Rainbow and Brow Trout in a bunch of different ways. You can bottom fish, spin, jig, fly fish, and drift fish, all using light tackle. All the fish you catch is yours to take home, but if you wish you can release it back into the water. Children are also welcome to join aboard, so bring them along and have a lovely family stay in nature.
All the rods, reels, tackle, and lures will be waiting for you when you arrive. You should just bring your licenses, food, and drinks before you start your trip.

Captain Duane was excellent with our kids and provided us with an BBC array of trout!
We had the time if our lives!!!!!! Capt Duane was funny, informative, and a fantastic fisherman and guide. We caught about 50 beautiful Trout, and captured memories to last a lifetime. We have only been off the water 6 hours, and already passed out his cards to perfect strangers so they can have a blast like we did! We're already booked for next year!

Captain Duane has been fishing since he was 4 and has a great love of the outdoors. He started wade fish and drift boat guiding on Lake Taneycomo in 2006. In 2008, he got his US Coast Guard license and guided 8 consecutive seasons in Alaska while still guiding during the Alaskan off-season on Lake Taneycomo. He has guided year round on Lake Taneycomo for the past 5 years. Captain Duane truly enjoys teaching people of all ages new techniques and helping to take personal skills to the next level, creating memories to last a lifetime.
